Located in the Night Market, this restaurant, which popped up within the last two years, is a welcome addition to this famous Buddhist city and was started to reflect Buddhismâs practice of non-violence. The owners locally source food, pay employees a good wage, and have created a beautiful, peaceful space in which to enjoy delicious food

This place is about 5 minutes walk from the famous food street in Dunhuang. The waitress will prompt you to the so called "Chef's recommendation" menu, but would suggest to go for their famous huang noode (yellow noodle), a small portion (1/5 cattie for 2) of donkey meat if you haven't try before, plus some appetizer size snacks. The noodle preparation room on the ground floor will allow you to take photo. Definitely worth a try as a Dunhuang specialty!

It is Dunhuang. Its an older town/city. The city is on the rise and it is a tourist location to see old China. There are quite a few restaurants. This one had good food and the staff were helpful. I think they felt sorry for me as I stood out being a foreigner.Food was quick to arrive and they wanted to give me a spoon to eat with but chopsticks were fine. You stick your hand up and staff were quick to respond.Easy to find as the locals know the place. Was a good experience.
