We had our Christmas Eve Dinner at the Ghiaine which was beyond our expectations. Our host in Marina Di Ravenna recommended this place a number of times so we decided to go there on Monday when our favorite restaurant in Ravenna (Ca Da Ven, read my review in case you are planning to visit Ravenna) was closed. Casa delle aie is around 30 minutes drive away from Ravenna (the speed limit is 50 km/h almost all the way which is quite annoying, but better be safe than sorry!). We arrived there after 7pm, first thing we noticed the parking lot was almost full and there was a huge line up to get inside (they open at 7pm). It goes quickly though as they have big sitting areas. Our waiter barely spoke English but I'd say it is very good sign - my wife and I always look for restaurants for locals, not tourists. They offer typical Emilia Romagna menu. It is great place to eat and watch locals. BTW... do not expect privacy there - you will be seated at big tables with other people. As I already mentioned this is a Tavern style eatery. Do not go there in case you only eat in fancy restaurants, highly recommend to everyone but snobs!

Absolute fab and very very delicious, best of Italian dishes! Pastas, seafoods, grill and pizzas are all mouth-watering! I love their pizzas, especially that in Italy, however the pizza capital of the planet, a lot of them are just too dry and boring, but the pizzas here have the gooey-cheesines, lots of toppings, soft and crunch combined, meaty, tasty and never rubbery:) Iâve tried all their pastas and even the very basic spaghetti with ragu sauce is such a dream with great authentic sauce and flavor. My husbandâs favorite, Gnocchi di Ricotta verdi al Gorgonzola is their unique specialty I guess, considering that he has been ordering this super dish for the past 20 years and canât find the same recipe anywhere else! Itâs not all potato white gnocchi but gnocchi with rich cheeses inside, gorgonzola included and greens in the filling. Deserts are yummy as well and the staff and owner are always friendly, interiors are charming and quaint, neither too big or smallâ¦any occasion will do here plus itâs sweet that the location is down a little slope from the road where its neigbors are the wonderful, rustic fields everywhere. All stars for this excellent family-run restaurant.

You are warmly welcomed in this cosy jungle - perfect for a romantic dinner or a group of friends! ( You absolutely have to make a reservation or go after 10pm and be lucky!)Around 11pm, brazilian music starts and you can enjoy clubbing/booty shaking in this hot atmosphere.Almost all customers take the "menu". But it is available only from 4 peoples. If you are less than 4, I advise you to ask for a mix plate.Starters: a lot of little dishes like a soup, fried fish etc... everything seemed fresh!Main course: a mix of picanha (beef), grilled prawns, feijoada, rice, grilled pineapple, a particular tomato salad.Desserts we tasted were good. I hardly advice you to drink their caïpi cocktails with fresh fruits: caïpiroska maracuja or caïpiroska strawberry!!!! About 25â¬/30⬠for food+cocktails.Enjoy!
