It lies 20 miles east of Bristol, 86 miles west of London and 4 miles west of The Cotswolds AONB. The town was established on a crossing of the River Avon and some form of settlement is believed to have existed there since before Roman times. It was a royal vill, and probably a royal hunting lodge, under Alfred the Great. The town continued to grow when Great Western Railway arrived in 1841; it is now a major commuter town.

Had an early (ish) dinner here - both of us had the chicken and ordered two sides to share - roast potatoes and Mac n cheese plus wo beers and two glasses of red wine. Approx £25 per head. The atmosphere was cosy and the staff went out of their way to find us a window table, even turning a four seater table into two for us. Our waitress was lovely and the fact that the restaurant was quite full at 8pm on a Wednesday night was a good indication of its popularity. Definitely would eat here again.......try it - you won'g be disappointed.

went to M4 Karting for the day with the family and noticed the new diner. Its american themed only been opened a few months apparently but they have done a lot since I last went there. I ordered the Gourmet buger which was huge but gorgeous my partner ordered the mexican wrap which was equally as nice. Defo reccommmend and will go back there just for dinner!!!

Stopped here Monday 28th October by 12.30 had run out f mayonnaise sachets so had barbecue sauceStopped a second time today again no mayonnaise sachets but this time wanted to charge me for BBQ sauce. Also floor was covered in chips trotted on advised man behind counter someone will slip on that he said yeah smiled and continuedAbsolutely despicable service lack of stock.And male kept glaring at me throughout my meal
