This place has some decent feedback and was also recommended by our holiday home host. So after strolling around in Formia we came here for lunch. It was a pretty hot day and we took a seat outside in the back (or front...depends where you walk in). There were only a few tables...it was well after lunchtime, but luckily the kitchen still open.Service was nice and friendly, brought our dog some water even. Food took a while to arrive, but we were on vacation...so, no rush.We ordered two glasses of white wine, the Seafood Gnocchi and Pasta with Sea Snails.White wine was fine. The Gnocchi had just the right bite and the broth was really tasty. A good meal. The Pasta with Snails were also a good choice, maybe not for a seafood beginner, but my wife enjoyed it very much. Good pasta - good flavour. All in all this restaurant is a good choice. Not among the very top on this vacation, but still a very good choice. Prices were fair as well.Wanna know more about me and my trips? Check my profile.Dear Bandit-One,thanks a lot for visiting us, we are really glad that you enjoyed our Food and that you had such a good time with us.We are looking forward to welcoming you again in future if you will come to Formia again.

We had an apartment in Formia for just over a week situated just behind this restaurant and I believe we ate there five nights out of eight! Firstly the Chef his wife, children and the staff were fantastic. They made us feel very comfortable and helped us with our choices. The starters were brilliant and I have to say the zepolline were gorgeous! We mixed and matched mains over our meals but suffice to say we tasted just about everything! Their pizza's, pasta's and meat dishes were gorgeous, especially the veal escalopes, but their seafood dishes were just to die for! Our wives had freshly caught and cooked orata and spigola - deboned and oven cooked in olive oil and fresh veg and potates, simply wonderful. The variety was exceptional.Thank you so much for making our week so enjoyable, after a hard day on the beach there was nothing better than dining at Il Tartufo!
