Cholos is a small, Mexican restaurant in the Coronado area, with good food at reasonable prices.Its open Thursday through Sunday has an extensive menu, beer wine and cocktails, nice waitstaff and owner and an extensive menu. My favorite is pork taco but burritos and enchiladas are excellent and enjoyed in a informal, but polite and friendly, layed back atmosphere.Recommended to all who like mexican food and are living in or visiting Coronado.

New fusion of pizza and mexican cocina,tacos,burritos,mexican pizza,quesadillas,salad.

Had lunch on a Saturday at 1:00, menu was limited to Fish Tacos, a burrito or quesadilla since were "to early" for pizza. Ordered Fish tacos and while we waited 20 minutes, 3 other parties came and left because they wanted Pizza. The fish in the 3 tacos was OK, but the corn tortillas were too overwhelming. The tacos were finished with grilled peppers. The sauces were OK but the picante was not very spicy. The wait for food seemed unusually long. The woodfired pizza oven is near the entrance. It was warming up for later and the smoke permeated the room. When I got I home I had to change my clothes. It is a new restaurant and maybe the dinner selection will be better. I left without having my high expectation fulfilled.

This place is owned by an American expat and his Panamanian wife, and is located on the Panamerican highway next to Coronado. The Mexican food is excellent and the atmosphere friendly. Prices are very reasonable. It is a favorite hangout for many foreigners who have settled in the area.
