It is the district headquarters of Puri district and is situated on the Bay of Bengal, 60 kilometres (37 mi) south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar. It is also known as Sri Jagannath Dham after the 12th-century Jagannath Temple located in the city. It is one of the original Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

after 2 and a half weeks of curry in Odisha it was lovely to find the honey bee anad eat a really good salad as well as a choice of cakes - excellent carrot cake - as well a really good coffee

We had been their for the dinner with our families last week. The ambiance and interior was good and that's only thing to mention that we liked.When we entered we requested for near by tables so that we can seat together with our family of total 14 pax. But they were unable to manage while only 2-3 table was occupied out of 16. How funny.Only 2-3 waiters are running from one corner to another to take order and serve. And naturally, messed up totally. The person took order from us and got missing. Another person came again to take order. Took over an hour to serve the foods. Food quality is horrible. Ordered chill-garlic noodles but we found only but don't know which preparation they served. No flavor of chilly or garlic but only vegetables and few pieces of noodles with pour of oils. Crispy chilly babycorn was served cold but crispy. This is not the end of misery. The even made mistake in billing.
