We had lunch at AKBar today and wow, everything was amazing! The owner greeted us with so much kindness and was an amazing host and showed so much pride in his restaurant and his food. We had the vegetable samosa, followed by the butter chicken, chicken korma and garlic naan. We were blown away by the taste and flavors in every mouthful. The owner shared how making his customers happy brings him so much joy and it was evident in our entire experience there. A meal we will never forget. The only negative is that we didnt try the restaurant sooner :( definitely a must tru place if you are in Koh Samui!

As we were staying at Chaweng Cove Resort, we thought we would try Noori as it’s almost next door. It is the rainy season so it was pretty quiet but we were served quickly with drinks & left to decide on what to eat. The menu is broad so there is something for everyone. We had onion bhaji’s as a starter, they were perfectly cooked & were very tasty. My partner had a chicken korma & I had a chicken tikka, both were full of flavour & cooked well. We had ice cream for dessert. Another plus was that they were showing the Ashes cricket on tv, I enjoyed it even if England were losing! We came back three times to Noori during our stay & each time the food was great. Try the pakoras with a small amount of tomato ketchup, it really brings out the flavour.

The food was excellent. The selection of Indian and Thai dishes is nothing short of huge. The food quality was excellent, and it was served fast. The staff run it as a family type restaurant, they speak decent English, and were able to answer all my questions. They serve in the traditional Nepalese costume which is very pleasant and nice. The interior is modest and cozy.Value for money is very good.We went here 3 times, my friend went here 4 times, and we were never disappointed.
