Landed this remote area trying to choose a place to dine on this rainy day...choose ignea over another one...no regrets..First time ever had a hot(warm) cocktail and went well on this rainy nite..The food was super..the apple walnut salad was awesome so also the mash potato that we ordered as accompaniment with the grilled food.The place even though open was not damp and has a unique way of serving the grill..I think every table has a centre opening where they set a lit coal grill into the slot and you then place your served skewers...for a few minutes before eating.Was quite unique, having been to quite many restaurants I had not seen such a set up...may be close to BBQ nation.Anyway throughly njoid the food even though the beef pieces were paper thin...could improve on this...looked too little on the skewer The deserts were awesome too ..white and brown chocolate fudge as was called ....very rich...order just enough....Hello Sparkie09, Thank you for the amazing rating. we are delighted to know that you loved the ambiance and food at Ignia. Visited this place on the highly recommended Friday BBQ night. We had the BBQ platter, Surf N Turf along with a repeat of the BBQ platter...Everything started out well with the platter, as it was definitely worth both in terms of quality as well as quantity and totally worth with regards to the pricing so we couldn't fault it at all.The entire platter comprised of well cooked meat ranging from beef to pork to chicken and prawns... The meats were well cooked, succulent and juicy which sort of raised our expectations for the rest of the evening but they failed to deliver in terms of consistency on the plate be it with regards to portions on the plate as well as quality...The surf and turf was served with only a single prawn which in all fairness showed a complete lack of surf and in my opinion was way too overpriced for just a single prawn, mash potatoes and a piece of beef steak...!To sum it all up I would say if your a meat lover I would definitely recommend the place on Fridays and you can listen to some great music being belted out by a young band whilst enjoying your meal in a nice surrounding, however do not expect consistency in each plate of food... As they flatter only to deceive.!

It's beautiful property with a lot of greenery and the restaurant covers the lovely residence of the owners. We drove in for lunch, with just a couple tables taken in a huge place, the walls are adorned by some of Mario Miranda art depicting the Goan life in his uniquely humorous way and a lot of local Goan artefacts & furniture (including the bar counter). No Air-conditioning, but the greenery and the fans keep you cool. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, we tasted some palm fenny while the bartender explained how it is had. The staff recommendations were spot on. Mutton Samosa's, Prawn Rissois (fried dumpling), Prawn Balchao, Fish Curry, etc., Authentic stuff, and not overly spicy, and absolutely lip smacking. we all agreed that it was value for money. Will go back again and I highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of Goan Cuisine.
