It lies on the northeast coast of the Ards Peninsula, about 18 miles (29 km) east of Belfast and about six miles (10 km) south east of Bangor. It is in the civil parish of Donaghadee and the historic barony of Ards Lower. It had a population of 6,869 people in the 2011 Census.

We visited here recently on a trip to Donaghadee and were extremely disappointed by the poor quality of the fish and the soggy, spongy batter. The chips werenât much better and it was only as we were leaving we realised exactly why the food & interior was SO disappointing..out of a 5 star score ..the âscores on the doorsâ which relate to hygiene etc were a paltry 2Definitely will not be returning to this awful place.

My wife and I went here on Friday night for dinner. Arrived at 6.45 having booked for seven. We were seated close to the reception with the loudest phone I have heard which rang constantly for takeaway orders. We could barely hold a conversation. The starter arrived in reasonable time and was ok. The dishes then sat for 20 minutes before they were lifted. Our main course then didnât arrive for 40 minutes. I was just about to complain when it arrived.No excuse except that takeaways seem to take preference over restaurant customers.The place is badly in need of a makeover.I will definitely never be back. Avoid at all costs.

Twice had good fish & chips (female frying), however the last twice (owner frying) the fish was seriously overcooked (hard and inedible in places), we're using an alternative now but will try again in a couple of months to see if any improvement. I think it's pot luck who's doing the frying.
