Gorica Zoo

This was unlike any other zoo we have been to. It’s all wooden enclosures and feels very rustic and authentic. Lots of fun for all of the family, with plenty of opportunities to feed the animals.

Zoo Centre Dobrich

It is a great option if you visited Dobrich and you want to have a walk in nature. It is a quiet place in a residential area with benches to sit and relax. Animals have more space than in other zoos in Bulgaria I have visited.

Dolphinarium

Dolphinarium Varna is one of a kind attraction in Bulgaria. It is set amidst greenery in the northern part of the Varna Sea Garden with a wonderful sea view. It was opened on 11.08.1984 and is a symbol not only of Varna but also of the tourist attractions in Bulgaria. The Dolphinarium is a must in the programs of all tourists visiting the Bulgarian seaside.

Zoo Sofia

Reviewed By humblebezz

Huge zoo with big collection of animals and birds. Saw almost all of them but it took 2-3 hours to see whole zoo + some time to make a break. There are nice places for picnics so you can take some food with you not to buy junk food. Primates pavilions are the best, enclosures for cats also. It is visible that zoo is changing in a better way in last few years and hope there will be more positive changes. Sad that there are still people who come there expecting some kind of entertainment and show and were trying to feed them which is absolutely forbidden. If you want to see as mush as possible, better come in the morning, when keepers are feeding animals and almost all animals and birds are walking outside (not sleeping). End entrance ticket is very cheap, may be too cheap for this place. Smoking is allowed (which is may be not so good for animals).
