Stanlake Park Wine Estate

We produce a variety of wines, including English Sparkling wine, white, rose and red wine. Our wines can be purchased at our Cellar Shop & Wine Bar, as well as online. Wine tastings & Vineyard Tours available. Large selection of gifts and accessories at the Cellar Shop.

Every winery tour is different and with Stanlake being a smaller winery, Natalia's passionate and personal narrative during the tour was very interestingly focused on the environment and challenges that she is working with her winemaker husband Nico here in England. We were able to try a very enjoyable selection of Stanlake's wines on our journey through the production process. I've bought their Bacchus before...it is delightful...everything good about a warm sunny day in a bottle.

Stopham Vineyard

A beautiful vineyard and winery in the South Downs National Park, West Sussex. We make still white, rosé and sparkling wines. We have special tours of the vineyard and winery given by the winemaker followed by a wine tasting in the winery, a Grade II listed Victorian barn, housing state of the art wine production equipment.

Had a weekend in wonderful West Sussex. Walked from Fittleworth to Stopham Vineyard for a wine tour and tasting. Toured the vineyard with fantastic views across the Downs, and then wandered over to the barns for a great overview of the wine making process, from Simon... and then the tasting! The day was rounded off with a lovely two course meal at The White Hart, overlooking the 13th century bridge. Back at home we are currently drinking a glass of Stopham Pinot - nice. Do this tour - buy the wine - you'll love it.

Greyfriars Vineyard

Under new management since October 2010, we are a commercial vineyard producing award winning English Sparkling wine. Greyfriars was originally planted in 1989 and has been producing great grapes and wines for over 20 years. We took over in late 2010 with the aim of expanding the vineyard dramatically, producing stunning English sparkling wine and building a state of the art winery, cellar and tasting room. We are well on the way to that goal. We have planted over 30 acres of new vines, predominantly the three classical Champagne grape varieties; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. This will enable us to create a small range of spectacular English sparkling wines reflecting the unique local soil conditions, climate and heritage of the Surrey North Downs. The Downs in southern England are blessed with similar geological and soil conditions to the Champagne region in France. At Greyfriars we have a clay/loam topsoil over several hundred feet of wonderful free draining Cretaceous chalk. The chalk was originally deposited over a hundred million years ago when this entire area was submerged under a tropical sea. The highest part of the estate offers splendid views towards the South Downs and east towards Guildford and beyond. In September 2013 we released the first wine made entirely by our own fair hands, a delicious sparkling rose, the first release of many. By the end of the decade we will be producing 100,000 bottles a year.

Definitely the best sparklingly wine tasting experience we’ve had in England! Led by the owner, she gave a wonderful short tour of the vineyard and a highly entertaining and informative guided wine tasting set in the excellent new tasting room with spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The 3 sparkling wines on offer are excellent - definitely on a par with champagne. Also try the generous sharing cheese platter! All in all a well deserved 5 star experience

I loved this experience: what a magical morning we had with some October blue skies.... we’re from the area but the South Downs and views across the vineyard were beautiful. Our tour host taught us a lot about the complexities of running such a british boutique vineyard and the tasting session was very enjoyable too :) Thanks Albourne for a great autumn morning!

We've just drunk a bottle of the pink sparkling wine we bought on our recent visit to Chartham Vineyards, absolutely superb, we visited the vineyards to taste their recent vintages and to look at the art gallery. What an interesting experience, lovely people, keen and enthusiastic but friendly and welcoming. The wines we tasted were super, especially the Pinot Noir and the pink sparkler which is 100% Pinot Noir. My wife thought the sparkling wine the equal of just about any champagne she has tasted and I couldn't disagree with her. I'm taking a few bottles to France with me on our next visit to show our French friends just how good English wine is.

Albury Organic Vineyard

Reviewed By Patachappell

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent vineyard tour and tasting session this morning at the Albury Organic Vineyard in the beautiful Surrey Hills - would highly recommend. NB the vineyard has it’s own car-parking separate to the main car-parking off the Shere Road. Dominic gave the tour to the group this morning, focusing on ‘biodynamics’ within organic viticulture, which we were fascinated to learn about. So many interesting facts and a fabulous view from the top of the vineyard - so lovely to be out and walking through the vines. You can even get involved and volunteer to help out with the harvest in late Sep/Oct. Afterwards we enjoyed a well organised, outdoor and under-cover wine tasting session managed by Dominic and Alex and we sampled four wines: a rose, two sparkling and a vermouth - delicious. After the tasting we were able to visit the open-air bar to buy refreshments and to buy bottles to take home - which we did! As part of our booking we had pre-purchased an ‘afternoon tea box’ which we enjoyed back at our table in the tasting area. ‘Loos for Dos’ cubicles are on-site for your comfort and the team have worked hard to deliver a ‘COVID-secure’ operation which was much appreciated, yet in no way over-shadowed the enjoyment of the event - well done all round and thank you for a lovely morning. See you again. Patricia & Philip Chappell, Crowthorne
