Top 10 Wine Tours & Tastings in Tokyo, Kanto

June 12, 2021 Renato Branum

Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Wake up before the sun to catch the lively fish auction at the Tsukiji Market, then refresh with a walk beneath the cherry blossom trees that line the Sumida River. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don’t forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.

Hi there! We have explored all sorts of areas in Tokyo: from stylish and cosy neighbourhoods like Nakano, Koenji and Shimokitazawa, to the bright and busy areas such as Shibuya, Shinjuku and Roppongi. Depending on the night and the place we’ve decided on, we will meet either at the closest station or directly at the first location (Some stations are too hectic and we may have trouble finding each other in the crowds). To kick off the night, we’ll all have a toast to an awesome night together at the first location. We will visit three to four bars/club in total. If you want to continue with your night, we know a lot of places we can recommend to you. We guarantee discounts and/or freebies (free shots or free drinks) at every spot so you won’t have to break the bank for this night out. Most bars that we visit will have delicious food options, so if you’re feeling peckish or looking for a late dinner, have no fear. Be ready to meet other travellers and have fun with everyone!

Inclusions: Free shot, free drink or discount at every spot!, Admission to every place!

Exclusions: Extra drinks and food

My friends and I had a lovely experience walking and learning from Sayuki about the different treasures we found at the antique market. I was quite interested in learning about the different Kimonos they were selling there. We found some long sticks that looked like old pipes, luckily Sayuki was there to tell us that they were old portable ink holders! The antique market was a nice and fun way to learn what people in Japan have been collecting from different eras. She gave us quite a lot of interesting insight about the different kimonos they were selling there. Sayuki is a geisha, she could tell us which one would be worn by a geisha or not. You will learn so much about Japanese goods and culture! If you are not strong in Japanese( like me), do not worry! Sayuki will explain and also translate for you it in English. They sell anything from cutlery, kimonos, head ornaments, jewelry, and other interesting antique goods! For the trip we all brought ower own masks! Highly recommend this trip if you are in Koto, Tokyo!
