The Valencian Community, or the Valencian Country, is an autonomous community of Spain. It is the fourth most populous autonomous community after Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid with more than 4.9 million inhabitants. Its homonymous capital Valencia is the third largest city and metropolitan area in Spain. It is located along the Mediterranean coast on the east side of the Iberian peninsula. It borders with Catalonia to the north, Aragon and Castilla–La Mancha to the west, and Murcia to the south. Cuquet de Llum is a "must visit" when you are in Alicante. As the only shop with exclusively Alicante-only products, it is a wonderful way to stock up on wine, chocolates, honey, baked goods, and more. The proprietor, Paco, is incredibly friendly and helpful --- his sommelier training is evident as he recommends wine-food pairings. And the prices are super reasonable!

A great place to spend a couple of hours in the morning. Make sure one of you isn’t drinking because there are plenty of wines to taste and buy at such a great price. There are lots of other items to look at and buy. Olive oils (so many), dried fruits, nuts and so much more.
