Louchi's Tearoom

Beautiful big wedges of cake, cupcakes, scones, sandwiches of 2 different flavours (or you can have a selection), pot of tea, and crisps! This is not a delicate dainty afternoon tea, but it's a very tasty one! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have toasties, sandwiches, cakes, and special childrens meals which are presented on benches, trucks and swing sets to really impress the kids! The food is great - and the value fantastic! Free parking about a 5 minute walk away. I would recommend booking in advance however, as we went on a Tuesday around 1pm and people were being turned away who had not made reservations.

We attended Llangeinor Arms for a family Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The roast beef we had was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. All the food was piping hot to the table and both meat and vegetables were plentiful, in fact more than we could all eat. Delicious!Would we go again?? Can wait!

Yet again we had a fabulous meal at the Red Lion. From my pigeon starter to my beetroot, chocolate dessert. Yes beetroot. Every morsel was delicious. The wine was flowing and was of equally good quality. Our friends were totally blown away with the food and couldn't believe the quality. They said it was as good or better than the 2 Michelin starred restaurant they had recently eaten at with a much more reasonable price at the end. The place itself is very cosy with friendly staff who remember you on your future visits. It is our go to restaurant for celebrations and special occasions. Try it. You won't regret it.

We went for dinner with family. It was tremendous. I had the Halibut with scallops, mash, blackpudding etc. Which was amazing! The fish was pure white and cooked perfectly. My husband had the rop steak with pepper sauce which he said was perfectly cooked. It was with triple cooked chips and he asked for rosemary & parmesan on them...mm, mm.My sister in la6 had fillet steak which was perfect too. A way burger was had by my brother in law which was he said was the Best Budher he'd Ever Had!!!!So well done to chef. 2 of us decided to share a cheese board, but it was disappointing and a bit mean. There were only 2 small bits of cheese. So please give more cheese. Crackers could have been a bit more interesting as well. When back on wales again wiil definitely visit again!

The Brynffynon Hotel Restaurant

Reviewed By Eiralinehan81

As a family we have enjoyed many a good Sunday lunch at the brynffynon. However today was a big disappointment. Something has gone very wrong. We had to go back to the bar to ask what had happened to our drinks. The service got worse. Deserts that should have been hot were cold. The wait between courses was really long. Then we were served with cold coffee. On leaving I was asked to pay the bill, which in fact my son-in-law had already paid. Not even a sorry from the waitress. It saddens me to write this review because we have enjoyed such good times there. Eira Linehan.

One of my favourite places for breakfast. The pancake stack with Welsh bacon is a particular favourite and pretty filling. Coffee is good and seems to be getting even better. Jack is a laugh out front and there’s always a good welcome and decent service - a rare commodity these days. Clean and tidy. 5 stars I reckon, just wish they’d open on a Monday and Tuesday too.
