Join us in an exploration of the globally acclaimed city of Pontevedra! Famous for its rich heritage, but also for the many prizes it has been collecting in recent years owing to its revolutionary urban renovation, the quaint capital of the Rias Baixas region is a must. This walking tour looks like this: - We'll see the iconic Peregrina church and cross the threshold of the medieval walls. - We’ll venture into the second largest old town of Galicia, going back in time through the narrow cobblestone streets and a myriad of squares. - We’ll get to the ancient stone bridge which gives name to the city. - We’ll visit what’s left of the medieval walls and some remarkable buildings, returning to the city centre via the old Town Hall. And more :) PS. Bookings will be confirmed by us personally as soon as humanly possible. Times are approximate: We may be able to offer personalised visiting times. For other custom and pricing options please do visit the 'Galicia Unveiled' main website.

I booked the 7-day Camino Frances in November 2020 for travel in May this year but we cannot now make it due to the COVID pandemic: South Africans are being restricted world wide for travel. I was told that the booking included one "free date change". I advised them repeatedly that I needed to change the date, but no-one responds or acknowledges my notices. Yet whenever they are looking for bookings, they respond immediately - it seems that now that they have the deposit, it's a different story. Beginning to think I've been scammed.

The Salnés Valley is where most of the Albariño cellars under the appellation of origin Rías Baixas are located and the wines here have very distinctive characteristics due to the influence of the Atlantic and their unique canopy growing system of setting the vines, known as "parras". Juanjo took us on an amazing tour of the Albariño wine region. He took us to four vineyards that were unique and each made Albariño in a slightly different way. They were not commercial wineries and each one had an owner/winemaker whose passion for making Albariño shown through in their product. Juanjo took care and effort in selecting these places and really made the tour special. He has extensive knowledge of the region and was an excellent guide. For lunch, he offered us several options and we went with a local restaurant in a seaside town that had excellent seafood and was a good break in between wine tastings. The Pulpa a feira was delicious. I highly recommend Juanjo for a fantastic experience in Albariño wine country
