Reviewed By Kelly KThe Royal Rio Budget is actually a building attached to the Royal Rio Palace. The room is confortable and you can use the whole structure of the hotel, including breakfest. the window has no view to the city, only to another buildings. the wifi is good.

Reviewed By AltexBlueThe hotel is in a very pleasant location surrounded by nature. Site well kept. Access challenging up hill. Maybe challenging in raining days. Staff very friendly and helpful.The room was small a little rundown. Very old TV with few channels and terrible image. Minibar equally old and rusty. A disappointment considering the rate charged for it.

Excellent place for those wishing to retreat from civilization
Reviewed By piratehunterPonta Negra is a lovely place, a very authentic fishermen’s village with few tourists, and Teteco’s resort is a lovely place to stay: very clean, well-organised, and at the same time simple and well integrated into the surrounding tropical environment. To get there, you need to walk about 6 km from Laranjeiras village (which is reachable by hourly buses from Paraty), or charter a boat from Laranjeiras. If walking, you pass the lovely Sono beach on the way, which shouldn't be missed (and you can camp there too). The nice Ponta Negra beach is walking distance from the accommodation (crossing the village), and you can make a (rather difficult) day-trip trekking in the mountains from there. No telephone connection there, nor much electricity (only a power-saving lamp as well as provided candles). The only restaurant in the village, also owned by Teteco, will open specially for you, but only if agreed in advance. The seafood I eat there was the best in my life! Overall, this is an excellent place to retreat from civilization! Its manager Teteco is very friendly and helpful, and he does speak some English;)

Reviewed By Monica RThis pousada is beautiful. The house is charming, well decorated, with style. The location is not ideal. I found it too close to the road. We can hear the cars and trucks passing by. Nevertheless, if you walk towards the pool area, you will have a beautiful view of the mountais. The owner of the pousada is adorable! Breakfast was perfect.

Best Pousada in Paraty
Reviewed By TimK2365Very friendly owners who give you loads of helpful tips. Rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! Almost everything is vegan, but they will help you if you need/want anything else. Located next to the road to Cunha. There is a bus every hour, but having a car is recommended. You'll be in the historical centre in 5-10 minutes. Area feels very safe and no problems traveling after dark.

Nice, but not perfect
Reviewed By Daniel CGood reception, nice amenities including a very inspiring breakfast with harp musician and cakes produced internally. Also has sauna and great living space. It is not recommended for vegan diet and also, we was unlucky to get a room where they lost the ar condition and television remote control. With no discount or no compensation we also didn't asked for it, just complained about the missing functionalities). Is a good one. A bit more expensive than usual, but worth by the education and nice facilities
