This was a lovely 7 day tour that I enjoyed very much with my husband. The guide Eddie was friendly, knowledgeable and patient answering our questions. He attentively spotted animals for us to watch. The accommodation places were clean and comfortable. Uganda is such a lovely country with friendly people and children waving at you wherever you. The nature there is very beautiful with lots of green hillside, lakes , forests and mountains. I loved the activities of people in the Bigodi swamp walk and their way of doing things . I loved the animals everywhere. The trip was really unforgettable. I would only recommend that the gorilla trekking activity be moved to the end of the tour because it's strenuous and could affect one's enjoyment of the rest of the tour especially if one gets injured. I also believe people should be made aware beforehand of the nature of this activity and how slippery or steep the ground is there in the impenetrable forest. EAJS really delivered all the program as I hoped for and as they designed. I only wish we had been able to do the Batwa cultural experience which was part of the tour and I was looking forward to it but we didn't have the time to do it unfortunately. Apart from that, the tour was great and I would recommend it to my friends.

I contacted New Horizon tours and services after seeing good reviews about their services and I was not disappointed. Emmanuel and Monica were good at responding to emails and calls and provided me with all the relevant information for my trip and were flexible. Their prices are competitive, and I appreciated that they provided me with accommodation options. The road trip to and from Kigali was with a good and comfortable car. Once I was offered my package, I was able to customise it to my desire. The highlight of my trip was the canopy walk at Nyungwe forest and when there I decided to do a 2 hour hike the hike in the forest (Umuyove trail) I experienced the rain forest in full since it started raining a little over an hour into the hike and we continued to the end. I highly recommend them.

We went with a whole group to climb the volcano and the experience was great from beginning to end. Everything was well organized: pick up at the hostel, drive there, transport of equipment to the top, amazing food (which is a challenge knowing all the food and drinks need to be transported) and very friendly, interesting and supporting guide, great cook. The cabins are comfortable and protect well from the cold air up there. In short, amazing service and I fully recommend this travel agency!

Gisenyi and Goma ( DR of congo) are two cities stacked together it looks like there are included in one country. the culture here it is like mixed Rwandan and congolese culture. the tour is really unique, DR of Congo is not really trustworthy in terms of security so if you need to explore congo's culture i definetely hope that the tour can show you the image of Congolese lifestyle.

Honorio wanted to make a hiking tour with me and 3 of my friends. He asked for some money in advance (250000RFr) which we gave him as we already knew this process from different activities before. Unfortunately he just took our money and never came to our appointement. He didn´t answer our texts and calls. He vanished and after 2 days he contacted us and told us some bizzar stories about some family matters. Be aware, that he is a liar. His website turnt out to be fake, as we went to the RDB to get our money back. Because he isn´t registered officially you wouldn´t get your money back. Afterwards we wrote an review via Facebook too , where he responsed directly that we called him bad things. He called us racists, as an excuse to make the review worthless. So beaware

I can really recommend that company. I work in tourist market and I have a big experience in those topics. Christian and his friends are really honest and friendly guys. He showed us thing which normally we have never seen like: people live in village, how produce fruits, what they do in work, free time. We got a chance to see real Congo not just a tourtist part. They are very professional. There was a schedule with all plan what we do. During all tour we could feel safe all the time. They really care about it. If you go to Congo take Congo Local Guides and you get the best experience!!! It is really worth.

As a CEO, travelling is a part of my job. While I always travel for work, I do my best to get some additional time to experience the places my work brings me to as I deeply believe that travelling is the best form of education there is. Finding a reliable tour operator in least visited country can be a hassle, but lucky for me, I had been in the Congo before, so I already knew a trusted and reliable tour operator offering inbound tours and activities to the DR Congo. Picked from my hotel by Terrence my English-speaking guide, we departed to Baz Congo Province where the magnificent 65m-high Zongo waterfall is located. It took us 5 hours using a 4X4 Jeep to reach the waterfall through Kisantu. The road is a paved one from Kinshasa to Kisantu (120Km), however, the branch out from Kisantu to the waterfall is unpaved thus bumpy (50 km). Upon arriving at the Selli Safari Resort, I checked-in a Chalet before going to the waterfall which is located within a minute from Selli Safari Resort. The views were amazing. This is an excellent place. Waterfall and climate are superb. You can enjoy with or without family. The following day, we left too early to go back to Kinshasa to experience the Bonobos, our closest human relative. The bonobos are located just before you reach Kinshasa on your way from Bas Congo where they are protected in a special preserve which is surrounded by the rainforest and has a lake inside. The Bonobos are kept in a fence in forest and they are well taken care of. The sanctuary rescues orphaned babies and try to habituate them to the wild. Their public awareness efforts are commendable, and they are worth supporting with a visit or a donation. The visit is done in groups, a complete visit lasts from 90’ to 2 hours. In the afternoon, we went for a crash Kinshasa City tour after tasting local food from Chez Flore Restaurant, which I highly recommended. In the evening, dinner was taken from Majestic River Restaurant an amazing ship restaurant located at the shore of Congo River whith mesmerizing views on Brazzaville, the capital city of neighboring Congo Brazzaville. The following day, we departed to Bandundu Province for a game drive and a boat cruise. As per my guide’s morning briefing, leaving Gombe township where my hotel was located to Nsele, it ordinarily takes 3 to 4 hours, but as a consequence lingering construction works of grade separation started by the recently elected president to ease the traffic in the capital city, we were caught up in a traffic jam for almost 2 hours, before the former president’s procession come to decongest the road. Terrence let me know that the former president is now using his full time to engage in environment conservation and boosting domestic tourism, the parc we were to visit was even one of his actions thereto. Upon reaching, Parc de la Vallée de la N’sele, we went for a game drive in a modified truck adapted for game drive. We even bumped into former president and his wife as they were bringing their visitors through the park. The park is still being populated with animals representing the biodiversity of the Congo, I could spot lions (they have got 9 of them), impalas, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, rhinos, elephants. In addition, there are a lot of activities around the park. Cycling, kayaking, hiking or riding the Zip line. Upon finishing the game drive, we departed to Safaris Beach which is located 20’ from Parc de la Vallée de la Nsele on your way back to Kinshasa. Freddy was the captain with years of experience on the Congo River, he brought me to a captivating cruise with the best sunset I have never seen in my entire life. They cruise was done in a comfortable wooden speedboat and lasted one hour and it was worth it. I spent the night at Selli Safari Resort, the staff was excellent there, so was the food. The following day, I was transferred to N’djili International Airport which is located 30’ away from the resort. Terrence my guide, was phenomenal, being an experienced local he managed to deal with all the unforeseen events with ease and professionalism. I highly recommend Kwafrika Travel for when it promises, it always delivers. I will definitely come back for a multiday tours on Congo River starting from Mbandaka or Kishangani, why not?

This was possibly the smoothest part of our 4 month trip in Africa. I was a little nervous about the safety of the trip but Adili answered all of our questions quickly and expertly and I felt very safe and 100% looked after at every juncture. Our experience with the Gorillas was incredible, and the lodge we stayed in was exceptional. The volcano trek was something I will never ever forget, a totally out of this world experience with fantastic guides and rangers. We are adventurous people and have been very lucky to visit some incredible places, but this was certainly one of my favourites. I would love to visit the DRC with Ubuntu Voyages again in the future.

Over $3K - gone! reading through past review we clearly are not the first. I don't believe any of these other reviews are even real...if he's stolen from so many how can all these others say 5 stars. Complete and total fraud! Do not book w/ him. Way to risky!

A beautiful life experience tour with Kwafrika Travel Ltd at Nyiragongo volcano in the heart of Africa. Nyiragongo is a beautiful stratovolcano that features the world’s largest lava lake. The volcano’s forested lower slopes are home to a variety of animals, including chimpanzees, monkeys, and bushbuck. Nyiragongo’s summit rim is largely devoid of vegetation and is sometimes dusted with snow. From the rim, visitors can peer down into a churning lava lake and see and hear hot gases exploding up though a mosaic of molten lava. Although predictable and therefore safe for tourists, Nyiragongo is greatly feared during eruptions.
