We propose you learning something else about Gran Vía and surroundings from the urban, historical and architectural point of view since it was conceived more than 100 years ago until its recent last reform. We will start on the rooftop of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, projected by Antonio Palacios, where you will enjoy the best views of the city. Likewise, we will know the history of other buildings such as the new headquarters of the City Council or the Cervantes Institute, Torres Blancas or Colón Towers. After going down the impressive staircase of the Círculo de Bellas Artes and visiting the building inside, we will start walking the first stretch of Gran Vía, stopping at Loewe, the luxury brand where Ava Gardner bought his exclusive bags before going to celebrate the premiere of his films at Museo Chicote with a cocktail together with bullfighters like Luis Miguel Dominguín, as Almodovar has done later in the 80`s. We will visit the Telefónica Building, the first Madrid skyscraper, whose cultural Foundation we will access together. We will continue the journey through the second section of Gran Vía, knowing the old Paris-Madrid Mall, the first luxury shopping center in Madrid. Later we will remember the missing Hotel Florida in Callao where Ernest Hemingway shared nights with international correspondents covering the Spanish Civil War. From here you will enjoy the views of the third section of Gran Vía with its cinemas and musical theaters that we will walk together to Plaza de España where we will finish at the last rooftop. A secret corner where we will have a drink while I tell you the project that will change this square with the Casa de Campo, Sabatini Gardens and the Royal Palace in the background. Other things to note Access to the first rooftop is not included (+5€/pax). It is offered as an option to finish the tour on the rooftop of the new Hotel Riu Plaza de España on the 27th floor with amazing views. Access MON-FRI +5€/pax till 6pm (no queue) +10€/pax from 6pm (queue of 20-30min). SAT-SUN +10€ ALL DAY (queues in the afternoon-evening) I offer other rooftops at the end of the architous without paying an entrance. The acces to all the rest of the buildings is included. You can have something to drink on the rooftops where we will stop at the beginning or at the end of the architour as an option.

Inclusions: Fundación Telefónica entrance

We had an amazing free walking tour today in Madrid with a guy called Gibson. He was super friendly, funny, and fluent in Spanish and English. We heard all about the city's history, the people who lived here, and the Spanish culture. In addition he gave us some tips for good restaurants/bars and other sightseeings. I would highly recommend a tour with Gibson to everyone who wants to laugh about Spanish royals anecdotes, be amazed by his comprehensive historical knowledge, and fell in love with this beautiful city. Enjoy.

This Madrid free walking tour is the perfect beginning to any trip to Madrid. It highlights the cultural landmarks of the central part of the city, while providing a concise and very useful overview of the history of Madrid in the larger story of Spain and Europe. It is also important to note that this tour company, OgoTours, was founded and is operated by locals. There are many ‘free tour’ groups in Madrid. My tour was given by Tatiana, one of the founders of the company. Tatiana imbued the experience of the tour with a tremendous energy and affection for Madrid and her life in Spain. She shared great tips on places to eat and shop, suggestions on planning day trips, and snippets of information that only a local resident walking around the city to live their daily life would accrue. I was happy to support this business and share the enthusiasm with others.

This tour goes through the Prado Museum highlights. There are more than one thousand paintings inside (no, we didn't make a mistake, that's the truth), so we can't explore it all, nevertheless, we provide the base for you to go on your own after the visit. That's why we like to describe this as a didactic tour. However, if you're an Art Pro, we've got good news: since we're going to be only 4 people, you can choose what to see and make requests, and that's why we like to describe this as a flexible tour. If you are coming in a bigger group, send a mail and we'll arrange the visit.

Inclusions: Ticket to go in, Professional & experienced guide

Exclusions: Even if you'nice, you can't get a painting to your house., Gratuities

In addition, we are in the neighborhood of Chueca, very close to "Plaza de Chueca", where you can take or eat something before or after the show.

It was our first seeing a flamenco show, I was very excited and my boyfriend not so much at the beginning. There was such a few people (10-15) that it seemed like a private show,we were in the first rank, very closed to the dancers so we could see every technique and every move. The guitarist, the singer, the dancers, everything was amazing and very moving and passionate. Finally my boyfriend liked it as much as I did! We were very pleased to have seen this show, that we highly recommend for its authenticity and intimacy! Also, the lady at the entrance was very nice and welcoming.
