Had a fantastic visit to the Tide Mill Museum. The museum is fantastic for kids with lots of interactive aspects and a brilliant "find the mice" quiz with prizes. Staff at the museum are really friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Small on site shops sells a good range of souvenirs and books on the mill and recipe book. They also sell the flour made at the mill. Highly recommend a visit!!!

Skirmish Paintball Games Ipswich

The experience was a lot of fun! The marshals handled 16 Deaf men of varying ages brilliantly. They were deaf-aware and made sure that we understood all the rules and were helped at various point during the experience.
The games were good fun, we were given quite a few options, we played capture the flag twice, elimination twice, we were even allowed to treat the birthday boys to a 'Stag run'.
Our Marshall, Shane, had a lot of patience with us and very accommodating to our needs. He made sure we all had a brilliant afternoon out and without him it would have not been as good as it was.
I found the equipments to be very good, especially the goggles, I've found in the past at various paintballing locations that the visors tend to steam up halfway through a game, leaving you running around blind. There were no such problems with the visors provided at this venue. The paint ball guns were fairly accurate and if we had any problems, our marshal, Shane, would sort it out very quickly.

I was in Suffolk for Easter Monday seeing a family friend and was debating what to do/see before heading home. I came across this riding school and thought I'd call to see if anything was available. They offered me an hour hack that afternoon at a reasonable time so I seized the opportunity.
My horse Murray was lovely and amazing to ride; we walked trotted and cantered around the farm into the woods and back. My guide was friendly and talkative meaning we made excellent conversation throughout, plus the weather was stunningly beautiful (was supposed to rain according to the weather forecast) but overall it was fantastic.

The golf facilities were very good. A two tier golf range to have a swing and a stretch is ideal. The course was in very good condition and worth a visit. The Hotel is as advertised 3* and I have found out since that you can upgrade a standard twin/double to a better twin/double??? Staff were all very nice and helpful. Had to have rooms remade in to twins from doubles and it was done quickly without any fuss. Evening meal was ok breakfast was buffet style and good. If I could have one real negative thing to say about the whole visit it is this. The visit was arranged around the Ryder Cup finish on the Sunday and to all of our surprise the hotel did not have Sky Sports. I know this can be costly but such a venue to not have Sky Sports was very disappointing. Told to go to the local village pub.

Went for a one-hour flying experience and couldn't recommend this more. Spent time with the birds at the centre with just us two and two others, having plenty of time to chat about the birds, the way they work, and hold several owls and hawks for photos. Then off to fly an owl and hawk free. Brilliant afternoon, and impressive birds with caring and excellent falconer. Thank you!

On a wild and windy day we visited this desolately beautiful spot. A short boat ride takes you across the river where you get a short talk about the reserve. We didn't walk the whole reserve but enjoyed the walk we did.

Sutton Hoo

In 1939 an extraordinary discovery was made deep in the Suffolk countryside as the remains of a 90ft Anglo-Saxon ship was revealed, surrounded by fantastic treasure and the now famous helmet. Sutton Hoo was soon realised as one of Britain's most important archaeological sites, believed to be the final resting place of early Anglo-Saxon warrior king, Raedwald. Visit our Exhibition Hall and learn about the history of the Anglo-Saxons and this extraordinary site, including all 18 mounds eventually discovered. Step back to the 1930s in Tranmer House, the Edwardian home of Mrs Edith Pretty, who first decided to discover exactly what lay beneath the mysterious mounds. Relax in our café and look for a souvenir from our National Trust gift shop and bookshop. There are also tons of activities for kids, including dressing up, quizzes and trails across the site, and a play-area to run off any last remaining energy. Don’t forget to check our website for up to date information on our events!

There is a visitors centre to walk around which takes 15 minutes, then a couple walks to look at the burial sites which are heaps in a field. However it is done to national trusts high standards so the cafe sells good food and the walks are pretty.

Great day out with the grandchildren. Fun without too much emphasis on unnecessary health and safety restrictions. Loads to do and plenty of rides. Nice sausage rolls and fresh cake.
