I always go up the back way so cant say anything about the new walk way. Its a lovely easy climb and the views are class on a nice day

Spent a wonderful couple of hours walking around this Park! it has really spectacular views of the surrounding area I'm beautiful red deer wandering around very close to you. it is a "must visit" place when you are in Killarney and parts of it are located right beside the centre of Killarney.

After spending 3 days in Dublin we headed to the west stopping en route at the diner in Ballinasloe which was good for a quick lunch. We spent 3 nights in Galway, taking in the Galway Food Tour and enjoying the bars and street entertainment in the Latin Quarter. Onward for a few nights in Doolin Co. Clare visiting The Buren, Inis Oirr Aran Island, and the local hostelries. A lengthy scenic drive through Kerry, around the lakes of Killarney (unfortunately on a rainy misty day) to the Beara Peninsula for 4 days. Whilst we enjoyed all of it the change in scenery at each place captured the imagination and we all felt that it was merely an introduction for us to revisit soon. We travelled in June, however, roads are narrow and at peak holiday time it may be annoying as there are so many camper vans and huge tour buses at some of the more well known sights so cars have to move over, getting superficial scratches from the hedgerows. Be careful because there are ditches alongside the roads which are not obvious as they are covered in vegetation and may appear as solid ground.

What a wonderful way to spend a few hours!. Tucked away in the Co. Limerick countryside, this magical fairy garden is a little peace of Heaven! The gardens are immaculately kept and the fairy story propels you to another world ! The added bonus of complimentary refreshments at the end of your adventure is very a lovely way to finish your journey....very competitive priced and should definitely be on your staycation itinerary !

Fantastic castle, a wonderful museum that really brings the history of Limerick to life with a combination of audio visual displays, interactive exhibits, artefacts and really interesting story-boards. The first half of the self-guided tour deals mostly with medieval history, the sieges, treaties and battles for power and what life was like for the people of the city then. There are superb models of the city at its various stages of growth. Then you can go down to the medieval foundations before ascending the towers and waking the battlements. Fantastic place, I was there well over 2 hours and just loved every minute. The staff were so, so helpful as well, it's important for me to mention that.

How can I put this stretch of road and coast into words? Just breathing, magical, peaceful, beautiful, quiet, magnificent.... Take your time when driving and stop at all things you see. So much to take in. Take plenty of licsture but take moments to close your eyes, breathe and be in the moment. So many fun things along the way and even made some new friends

Lough Gur Heritage Centre is a community run tourist attraction telling the story of 6,000 years of habitation in the Lough Gur area. From Neolithic house sites to medieval castles Lough Gur has monuments from every era and the heritage centre ensures that visitors get the history/folklore and archaeology of the area from trained guides.The Centre also houses a retail space where take away tea/coffee, minerals, ice-cream and chocolate are available for purchase as are books and merchandise of the area.Summer opening hours are 10 to 5pm Monday to Friday and 12 to 6pm Saturday and Sunday from March to October and every Sunday during winter hours.The centre is staffed by volunteers and all monies raised goes back into community initiatives at Lough Gur.

Visited here with my husband, along with the stones and a leisurely drive round the area. Been to many tourist sights in Ireland but this was one of our favourites. There is such a peaceful atmosphere at Lough Gur and not many tourists when we were there. Brian shares his knowledge of local history and brought it all to life. We enjoyed the guided walk. I bought a book based on memoirs of a lady who lived at the farm there. Great to read about a place I have visited. Highly recommend taking a few hours to stop here.

What a great experience we had on a day out to spike island ,I have lived in Cobh for the last 48 years and never new what history was at our door step . Went to this tour and tasting along with my girlfriend. It’s different from others we’ve been to as this distillery makes gin, vodka and whiskey. We got to sample some whiskey almost right away and then our guide David took us for a tour in the distillery to show us the steps in the process of making whiskey. You can tell that David is really passionate about making these spirits and his enthusiasm is contagious. The way he talked about the drinks they produce reveals that Dingle Distillery is really proud of what they’re doing, as they should be. In the end we tasted vodka and gin which was way better than i thought it would be. Would recommend this tasting to anyone!
