The Tudor House Museum

The Tudor House was built in the 17th Century. Three floors are devoted to local and interesting historical objects. Our dedicated volunteers are always busy arranging, cleaning and maintaining our exhibits.

Having been to Upton many hundreds of times since we only live 15 minutes away, we decided to come and have a mini-break. Never really knew that there was a museum but it harboured lots of images of Upton past. Including the railway station memorabilia the museum is a fascinating collection of nic-nacs including some beautiful pottery by the museum’s founder. Richard and Jo were on hand to answer questions and made every effort to keep our young son stimulated. And there was the mouse trail (every good museum has one of those). As we walked back to the camper our son asked if we could come again next year - so long as they move the mice.

The Tourist Information & Heritage Centre

We had parked at the far side of town from the "Pepperpot" so only found the information office after we had explored many of the streets. With hindsight we wish we had gone there first and discovered all the information we needed to understand all the history of the town. The history of the church which once stood on that site is fascinating and the use of the old church tower as a base for visitor information is brilliant.

Clive's Fruit Farm

We are a family run fruit farm nestled between the Malvern Hills and the River Severn just outside the picturesque town of Upton-upon-Severn. Mr Clive started the fruit growing business in 1917, his son Felix introduced PYO after returning from WW2 and the current owner Charlie took the reins in the 1990s. Since Charlie took over the farm has planted different fruit, extended the farm shop, introudced a juicing plant as well as turning an old pig pen into a children's nursery (run by his wife Jane). We have a farm shop, butchery, café, children's play area, feed the animals, PYO (June-Nov) as well as markets at various points in the year

The Upton Kings Head

Myself and 2 friends recently tried the new Sunday carvery and we thought it was great. For £10 you can go up as many times as you want and there was a great selection of meats. There was a good choice of vegetables which were all cooked well, especially the roast potatoes. I would have preferred slightly thicker gravy but it still tasted amazing. I will definitely be going back.
