Greeted warmly on arrival & given our robes, but had to traipse back to reception for the flip flops, not sure why this happens on a regular basis Reading other reviews (after the event). Treatments shortly after lunch rather than late afternoon as requested. (Although an improvement my on last visit my eye brow wax was after my make up application). Food, most odd, the pita tasted of wet egg and didn’t want to mention the risotto was made from the incorrect rice). First treatment was an included back massage, v nice apart from it was 20 mins and the therapists phone went off twice! Facial, lovely apart from opening, closing and ‘farting’ bottles, so not that relaxing.
So many little things are wrong which would make me not revisit a third time.
All staff though were friendly so a definite plus point there.

The Borehole is a brewery tap for the Lymestone Brewery and is based on the same site. It has never been a pub before so this is an exciting refurbishment. The pub will serve a range of Lymestone cask ales and bottled beers as well as other drinks from local and distant suppliers. A log burning stove provides a central focal point

This Mirco brewery is situated just outside Stone on a small industrial type estate. A great little quirky place to have a drink and chat. Good selection of beers and ciders as well as other drinks all at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Daily papers supplied....MoreHi We really hope that you will return to see us again and again! Becoming quite a regular here.... the gin selection is huge and all are served with different a garnish depending on the taste/aroma which is a lovely touch for a traditional old type pub!! Snug little beer courtyard at the back... we like it here ??

Lymestone Brewery is a family run micro brewery based in Stone Staffordshire. It currently has a 10 barrel brew plant and produces up to 9,780 litre of beer per week. The brewery is in a building that is over 100 years old and it has a fascinating history. Old maps from the turn of the century document its growth.The on site shop is open when the brewery is open, Monday - Friday 8.30 am till 5 pm and on Saturday or Sunday by appointment.Brewery tours are run on a booking system, but please call the brewery as we may have something happening that you can join.Corporate packages are available.The brewery also hosts live music events and is available for private party bookingsThere is ample parking on site with a large car park on the same industrial site. Look out for the bee hives on the roof and the bees producing Honey for one of our Award winning beers.

There are some unusual pubs in the world, but a new one is very unusual, given the closure of so many pubs in villages and towns. I love the fact that a new brewery has opened up and is providing ales. Stone the Crows was a delicious pint, Ein Stein was another and I am told there is a seasonal ale named after the Maori for greenstone, sacred to the Maori people as you know. Walk by the canal and find your way up and over the railway line!

Its free for under 1s which is great and the baby soft play is not too bad. Problem is, from the 3 times we've visited, there are older children in there. Gets quite dangerous. Would benefit from some sort of regular supervision. I would probably go mid week but never on a weekend.

Visited with work colleagues for a few Christmas drinks as it was so accommodating for us last year.
A fantastic atmosphere in a delightful setting allows for laid back drinks and chat. Great selection of ales (from titanic brewery) along with usual selection or wines, spirits and soft drinks. Very friendly staff who did everything to accommodate.

Unspoilt National Trust land that has circular walks - several flat areas, some involve moderate 'banks'. Well maintained without being 'manicured' and a favourite for my energetic Springer. Occasionally cattle are grazed here, but are used to dogs and families alike. Also safe for children, with a shallow stream with stepping stones to entertain them, with a ford to drive through. A wonderful local amenity, but note that there are no toilets.

rap crap crap. Ordered 2 surf and turfs meals. One steak fine other like leather. Chips so hard on outside and overcooked. Ran out of peas and pulled pork. Hello it's a bank holiday. Stock up for a busy weekend. Told staff of dissapointment with meal to be advised that chef is in training and still learning. EMPLOY A CHEF not a learner. Apart from the steak the surf bit consisted of 5 pieces of scampi. For nearly 12.00 I expected more. Awaiting on manager for 1 refund as sent steak back. I've eaten her before and it was fine. Obviously some work required to bring up to a suitable standard. Leave it a while until chef knows how cook. Just seen manager come back from Heron Foods with frozen peas and chips. You can't beat quality.

If you're looking for a sports bar with TV screens in every corner, shoulder-to-shoulder, standing-room-only drinking and loud music, go somewhere else, there are loads of places like that.
This is a warm, homely, traditional public house in the true sense of the words. Places like this are disappearing at a terrifying rate, so much so that The Pheasant should be supported by the National Trust as a living heritage centre !
It's one of those street corner pubs on the edge of town that's managed to survive up to the take over by the present management and it's better than ever ! Great beer, great service, a great atmosphere, darts, skittles, dominoes, local banter and the rarest of today's commodities... conversation.
I really can't say any more, except that places like this need the support of regular customers so try it, if you know what a real pub is, you'll love it.
