Subic and Tikling Beach

Reviewed By sabi0james - Manila, Philippines

These are two separate islands. We first went to Tikling Island and was able to see a fisherman with his fresh catch of the day, enjoyed the caretakers' pet native pigs. Then our guide took us to Subic Beach ( the way he described it is that there are two Subic beaches, one more popular with tourists with stores and more cottages and the other one more private and secluded). I was lucky to visit both. Great beach for a dip and for relaxation (ice-cold beer in hand). Due to the red corals in the area that got mixed with the white sand, the beach gives a pinkish color to the delight of the islands' visitors.

Bulusan Lake

Reviewed By sabi0james - Manila, Philippines

Been here several times before but the last one was probably 2 decades ago. So i was excited to see the park again, see whether improvements were made with regard to facilities as well as if the lake and forest have been maintained. In my opinion, the lake has maintained its beauty and charm and the place is as thickly-forested as before. Now, they have a 340-meter long hanging bridge to further enhance the trekking experience. There is also a floating massage cottage and kayaks are available for rent for those wishing to paddle around the lake.

Balay Buhay Sa Uma Bee Farm

Reviewed By sabi0james - Manila, Philippines

A great place to spend some relaxation time. Just have a tour of the farm, wade at the pools, or enjoy eating/drinking at their resto. Then before going home, buy some items at their store, maybe some honey, turmeric tea, peanut butter, shirts, native slippers, etc.
