Chateau Laniote has been in the same family for almost two centuries. Arnaud de la Filolie, assisted by his oenologist wife, Florence Ribereau-Gayon has been in charge since 1989. The vineyard spread over 12 acres at the North-West of Saint-Emilion. The tour consists in visiting the cellars: vatcellar, storage room, barrels cellar, watching a little video about vinifications and tasting the wine. Guided tours by appointment.
This place was wonderful, I went there with some friends and we had an amazing time, the visit is guided by the owner itself and he really makes you feel welcomed with some humor since the beggining. You can learn about the whole process of making a bottle of wine (don't hesitate to ask some questions!) and later on you can learn to taste a good wine. Honestly it was really entertaining visit, you will not regret it

We have visited many wineries around the world but this has definitely been the most interesting. AJ is an excellent host and her tour is pleasant, fun and she shares so much detail and knowledge on the steps that are involved in the production of such fine wine. Madame Roskam is truly lucky to have a daughter in law like AJ! The tour will leave a wonderful memory of Saint Emilion.

I recommend you take the time to take the one-hour tour around this ancient and historical church with it’s 53m high bell tower constructed in the early 12th century), whilst in St. Émilion. Led by our knowledgeable Lydie, we explored the catacombs beneath and then through to the huge Church. It was listed as a world heritage site in 1999 by UNESCO.

The Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion (including the town and the territory of the 8 villages united under the authority of the medieval Jurade) was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage in 1999 to preserve, restore and share this outstanding heritage! Covered in vines and bordered with rivers, along woody slopes and picturesque roads, the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion stretches out over 75 km² around a particularly well-preserved medieval town and is the ideal place to stay. Only 30 minutes from Bordeaux and 1h from Bergerac or Périgueux, Saint-Emilion is the perfect starting point to tour around the vineyards of Bordeaux and the Perigord district. Legend has it that the town bears the name of a Breton monk that performed miracles while living an exemplary life. In order to retire from social life, he settled in 750 in a natural grotto, which can still be visited nowadays in the heart of the town!
If you go to Saint Emilion you need to go to the tourist information, very informative and helpful, we hired bikes booked tours and got all the information we needed for our stay.

Bought in 1844 by our ancestors. It's one of the only 2 winery to be in the heart of the village. We still use the quarries under, to stock the wines. The wine is sold, we bring it back up and Each bottle is clean by hand and the labels are also put by hand. The tour is done by the owner himself GUY-PETRUS LIGNAC or by his son Vincent (in charge of the vineyard and winemaking) The Tour take about 1h, included the winery (tank room and barrel cellar) + the wine cellar underground and a tasting of 2 wines with explanation
We called the Chateau Guadet on a whim while we were in St. Emilion. We didn’t figure that we would be able to taste or visit on such short notice. They accommodated is immediately, allowed our children to play in the garden while we toured and tasted, then held our wine til the Fall so it wouldn’t be shipped during the hot summer months. Our wine arrived to the US in record time, less than 5 days after we gave them the go ahead to ship. They truly understand both producing excellent wine and cultivating wonderful relationships. Whenever COVID allows Americans to return to Europe, we will return to Chateau Guadet! Thankfully we have their exquisite wine to enjoy in the interim!

The chateau will be closed for annual break from 1st january to 4th february 2020 The Lannoye family bought its first property in the Bordeaux region in 2001. The family owns two properties in Puisseguin-Saint Emilion and in Castillon-Cote de Bordeaux. They now wish to fully invest in the development of wine tourism in Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret. Acquired in 2007, Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret is a small property of 5 hectares, located in Saint-Emilion. It benefits from the appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Built in 1814, the Chateau was recently renovated. Its tower makes the castle very easy to recognize.
We passed by and dropped in to try out the 2016 vintage, which was lovely. Refreshing after the 31 degree heat outside!

Experience one of the great Saint-Émilion wineries: Take your time to soak up the atmosphere,by day or by night. Out in the vineyards, down in the cellars, or busy in the kitchenswith an expert chef!Come with friends…meet fellow winebuffs…enjoy a romantic break or a familyday out.
We had pre-arranged with the chateau both a bike ride around the St Emilion area and a chateau wine tasting. I wish I could remember the name of our guide - he was great - from a wine growing family, knowledgable, fun and a pleasure to be with. The bike ride through the vineyards and the town was spectacular - a few hills but nothing to worry about. The chateau is beautiful and a very professional operation. How many vineyards have chandeliers up in the vat room??? And the highlight of the visit is the wine. Chateau Soutard's wine is the best we tasted in 3 days of chateau visits - by a long way I'd say. I'm still looking for some place to buy it in the UK. The tasting room is in a stone cellar under the chateau.

Along with the production of excellent wine, Bordeaux makes a beautiful “crémant” so lovely place to visit and learn how it’s made and get a sense of the History of the village too. Beautifully restored with sensitivity too. The wine was splendid and the tasting at the end of the visit welcome
