This is a lovely stretch of extremely clean beach, but it is not a sandy one.
There is quite a big shelving , which makes it a little difficult to enter gradually. Sometimes the sea can be quite rough & I wouldn't say it is very good for young children.
Shame really.

While walking along the beach front you get the sence of safeness..their is old couples young couples and everyone in between of all ages all out for a night stroll..the smell of cooking from restaurants and kids eating ice cream..makes aquadeluce the ideal place for a family holiday...no loud clubs and no drunks laying in their own vomit at the side of the road...and no one trying to pull you in to eat in the restaurants..people walking their dogs and not a poop in sight streets very clean..if we could afford it we would move to aquadeluce as its perfect for families who want a quiet family time holiday..

October half term, closed, desolute, unkempt, lots of building work around the area. Walked around the perimeter to see if we could find a way in. Broken bottles, litter, graffitti, looks like it's been shut down and abandoned

How can desolation be so beautiful?we hired bikes to tour the park, rather glad we did,it covers a massive area,ok if you can walk for miles and miles and miles,we headed for the tower from the end of the Promenade,on arrival at the tower, look opposite direction from the sea/beach you will see the salt lakes, they are massive,go down to the lakes you will come to a pumping house from years gone by,there were various sorts of birds to see,but yes indeed the flamingos were in town,a lot of them, yes some were a whitish colour but indeed the pink variety were there,I would suggest taking a pair of binoculars with you,a good camera, sunscreen, and drinks we took mosquito repellent as per previous reviews but luckily all was good, this is a must do

Roquetas de Mar Aquarium

Reviewed By spanner74 - Preston, Lancashire

This is not a full day out but it is a good place to visit. Children can touch starfish and rays. The exhibits have English descriptions (along with other languages) which is a great help!
The water tunnel under the shark tank was a highlight, as was the friendly ray who was high fiving everyone!!
Tip: if you go to Oasys Minihollywood, there is a voucher in the leaflet for a free shark tooth pendant, or fish food to use in the aquarium.

This beach or playa here in Roquetas de Mar is situated just after the small puerto and runs for quite a long way towards Aguadulce. There are several tapas bars and restaurants behind the beach on a Promenade that is nice to walk along.
The beach is clean with nice sand, ideal for families with children.

Street Market of Roquetas de Mar

Reviewed By Gillmurphy - Sowerby Bridge, United Kingdom

This market is on every Thursday morning, it's ok. If you have been to one Spanish market you have been to them all. This is not the best I have visited, but it passed a morning. It's only 2 lanes big, but they are very long lanes. The best part was the fruit and veg stalls. Very fresh fruit at a very good price.
