" Oku no Hosumichi" was the title of the five month Literary journey of the great haiku poet Basho. This journey ended in Ogaki in the autumn of 1689.
Though documents and haiku in the Matsuo Basho Memorial Museum are in japanese, this museum is still worth a look as it is on the walking route around Ogaki City. At a guess, the total distance for the walk would be about seven kilometes.

Aqua Walk Ogaki

Reviewed By Terry H - Tokyo

Aqua Walk is close to Ogaki station and the APA Hotel so is very conveniently located. It is a comfortable suburban shopping mall, clean and well-managed. While staying a few days in Ogaki, I went there a number of times - primarily to eat at the cafes but also to purchase gifts for Japanese friends. Nice to see some Seating around to take a rest during and after shopping - very much appreciated by this elderly Australian shopper! Aqua Walk is not a swanky, top-of-the range mall but is more than adequate for this quiet little town.
