Ios Club Cocktail Bar

The revival of the legendary cocktail bar of the 70's offers a unique fusion of breathtaking sunset view, delightful cocktails, finger food and ambient music!Set in the middle of a highly privileged energy site, right beside Apollo's ancient temple, IOS CLUB overlooks the island's harbor and offers one of the most spectacular sunsets in Cyclades.

Great position to watch the sunset; great service from the waitresses; very comfortable lounges and lots of them to choose from; cocktails were fairly good and consistent; but the music was odd. For the entire sunset period, classical music was played. Don't get me wrong, it was fabulous classical music but probably a bit odd to play for a sunset viewing. We were expecting lounge music which started right after the sun set. They do serve snacks and give a small bowl of peanuts with each cocktail ordered. We could not get a bowl of olives which we thought odd particularly given that I ( and so many other people) have an allergy to peanuts. Recommended all the same (byo chips and olives recommended )!

We have visited this tavern 2 times during our visit to Ios island. First visit was for dinner. We have tried every Greek meze together with Ouzo and it was very delicious. The tavern is very clean and the owner is very friendly. They give good advice and recommendations.
second time was during day time as they have a very nice small beach in front of them with comfortable beach beds and umbrellas. You could swim, sun tan, order drinks or go to the tavern itself to have lunch. You could stay until beautiful sunset.

I stumbled across this cafe/bar while walking through the back trails of Ios Chora.
It won me over with its relaxed and quiet atmosphere, great music and its interior design. numerous colorful hand painted pieces hanging on all the walls apparently painted by the owners father.I had a couple of drinks and got to know the owner Themis a bright character with a good sense of humor i had my favorite drink, Bombay Gin with bitter lemon, this is the only bar i found in Ios which had bitter lemon. I also dropped in for a coffee the following morning which was my last day on Ios but instead of a coffee Themis recommended i have one of his special smoothies
It was amazing made from fresh fruit with a spoon of fresh local honey. Yummy ! so smooth ! I highly recommend this place and also more importantly the prices a very reasonable for the high quality of drinks which are served here . It is one of only a handful of bars on Ios which serves first grade alcohol .
