The information and close encounters with exotic animals was such a treat. The care and respect given to each of the animals was quite refreshing. The owners really love what they do and it shows. They also treated all visitors with respect and were careful of their individuality. Cheetah's Rock is a must see for any visitor to Zanzibar.

today we were to make this excursion recommended by our hotel. agency run by two very professional and friendly Italian boys. they picked us up at our hotel and took us to the quad garage. we left for the village crossing some beautiful rice fields. exciting visit where we tried the true essence of Africa with a super professional guide. we conclude our tour with a great mojito on the beach ... thank you so much for the wonderful afternoon.

Organized a boat to nakupenda just outside the Tenno House Hotel on the beach in Stone Town. Two hour trip negotiated for 50,000 tsh
I wasn’t sure what time to visit given low tide was around midday today and high tide around 630am. I got there at 9am and was the first boat to arrive. Had the sandbank to myself for the first 30min which led to some magical shots. From what I’ve seen - it looks far busier around midday when the tours all come in
The sandbank itself is pretty amazing - and suggest for those staying in stone town to go off peak with arrangements with a boat easy to negotiate

Uroa Bay oozes white sandy Beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, palm trees and a friendly locals just trying to sell you some of their wares to make some money of the tourist - say "no thanks' and they are happy to let you be. The Beaches allow you to take long strolls and enjoy the peace and tranquillity! It was a perfect 7 days spent in this part of the Island. It is about 35km from Stone Town and very accessible by car. Be warned if you are looking for shopping this is not the place as there are no shops but just a few locals selling their wares on the beach front - they have small huts from which they sell beads, t shirts etc. A few of them found us on the beach and opened their shops for us - it was a good feeling just supporting them as I think the few dollars they make of tourists can go a long way to helping them and their families. Just my take on things. I really enjoyed my stay in this area.

We made a day trip to Stone Town plus spice farm.
At Tangawizi we met our guide who was very friendly. His English was surprisingly good.
The tour through the plantation and Gardens was nice and interesting. The guide made it somehow interactive by asking us many questions which was fun. There were the usual little add-ons like local children making little baskets and crowns out of leaves and flowers and a local climbing on a coconut tree to collect coconuts. At the end we were offered a tasting of natural fruits but refused as to the rule boil it peel it or leave it.
The staff tried to sell nicely presented packets of spices and perfumes but it's definitely cheaper to buy from the market in Stone Town.

We really loved this beach, our second favorite on the east coast of Zanzibar. Isolated, yet busy enough to have other options to interact with people than just those in beach resorts. Numerous small beach art stores, kiosks, and even a pet monkey. We drove from Stone Town, 50min, and were able to park 5 meters from the beach, after driving down a small access road through a village. At high tide, there were enough sandy areas where kids can swim without the normal Zanzibar worry of urchins or sharp rocks. Great walking beach, tanning beach, and just hanging out.

This is part of the ‘slave chambers exhibit’. Having paid for your entrance to the slave chambers section, you get an opportunity to go inside this Cathedral which has an interesting history relating to the slave trade. As with most old structures like these, the architecture is worth a look and the stained glass is also beautiful. A guide is useful.

We can absolutely recommend One Love Kite School in Kiwengwa! It was our first time in Zanzibar and the first kitesurf course - they are such a nice, openminded and experienced team, they made us feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you very much for learning us to love kitesurfing and spending time with us.

You don't need long to explore the island. its basically a hotel, but there are some super cute tortoises. worth a visit for an hour or so. no longer than that

My wife and I weren't sure about taking this activity, we thought it was too adventurous for us, but Luis, the owner, convinced us to take it. He assured us that we would be traveling with a very professional team that would help us anytime we needed.
The truth is that we felt very comfortable with all the team and also with the equipment.
The tour is really magic, since you visit a local village and you get the oportunity to discover the real Zanzibar. It was one of our best days in Zanzibar.
We only have good words for this company and we wish them the best of luck in this adventure!
