Narmada river flows from Omkareshwar through Maheshwar where you have Ahilya devi fort on the banks of river. The river is quiet wide here and has good flow and depth. The ghat here is very big and clean. There are chains for safety of people taking a dip in the river here. There are also changing booths. The ghat is very good for taking a bath in the river. There are plenty of fishes at the ghat. Its a nice place to visit.

Had fun during boat ride. Very scenic place, must for one who want to enjoy this view. We have taken half parikarma but was worthwhile.

It is said that Omkareshwar darshan is not complete unless you visit Mamleshwar mandir. It is relatively much less crowded and does not take much time. It is on the opposite bank of Narmada river and people generally walk through a bazaar selling all sorts of religious things after they have completed the Omkareshwar darshan.

Its a Biggest dam on Narmada River and Reservoir is huge. We visited this dam in its early stages as well and since than it is a Picnic spot for people of Malwa and Nimad. Overall a Good day visit if Clubbed with Hanumantiya.

I went to Gauri Somnath Temple. With its rising curvilinear tower and high platform, the temple has a striking resemblance to the Khajuraho temples. Inside the temple, one can see a shining black lingam and a statue of Nandi (sacred bull) in the sitting position. It is great place to go.
