We did the sunset ride. We were collected from our hotel in Chacras (outside of Mendoza but on the way) taken to the vineyard. We spent a few minutes getting settled. Then Laura explained how to ride etc. There was a mix of beginners and experienced. It felt very safe, the horse are well cared for and beautiful surroundings. We did a two hour ride with a stop for the sunset at the top. It was beautiful from start to finish. Views were great. Quite chilled but a little trotting. We then returned for a yummy asado. Lots to eat for everyone. Only 8 of us so intimate. Laura spoke good English and gave us info about the area. It was a really lovely evening. Great value for money and I can highly recommend it!

It is a small open mall, which is nicely laid out. There are some really nice shops which houses most internationally renowned brands. Prices are typically high, though some shops offers good deals. The best part about this mall, however, is its dining options. There are 3 really good restaurants onsite along with fast food options such as McDonalds. If in Mendoza, do give it a visit.

In 1999, the idea of a joint venture was born between Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and the Catena family. The enthusiasm around this idea turned into a project: to create a unique wine combining two cultures (French and Argentine) and two grape varieties (Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon). The Catena family relied on the knowledge of high-altitude terroirs in Mendoza and on the passion for Malbec to find the best vineyards. Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) provided the century-old management of Cabernet Sauvignon and the art of making great wines through the blending of different grape varieties. Bodegas CARO, located at the heart of Mendoza, boasts a restored cellar dating from end of 1800s. It is the core of the project, housing the wines from vintage 2003. From the outset, the project has been aimed at selecting the best terroirs in order to produce the most elegant wines in Argentina.

They picked me up on time at my hotel, drove me with a 4x4 into the Mountains, and took me into the air after explaining in careful detail the several pointers to keep in mind for safety. The certified pilots were very knowledeable and had many, many hours of experience. Overall, it was a highly recommendable excursion. At no time did I feel any danger at all; in fact, it was quite relaxing! All equipment was in perfect condition (nothing worn or frayed) and the flight itself lasted long enough: about 15-20 minutes in the air. In addition, they provide you with a video that you yourself and the pilot film as you go: it's included in the price. I never felt any risk! Go for it!

I'm so glad that my husband and I went paragliding while in Mendoza! It was very easy to make a reservation and the communication from the time of booking until flying was very good! They pick you up at your hotel in Mendoza and take you to the paragliding area. Everyone was very friendly and I felt safe. This was definitely a highlight of my 2 week trip to Argentina. Definitely do it!!

I researched wine guides/tours in Mendoza and contacted about 4 that had great reviews on TA. What really caught my attention about Taste of Mendoza at first was their personal approach and timely response. Once I got in touch (first by email and then by phone and text) with the lovely Deepa it was like talking with a friend. There was no doubt in my mind after our initial communications that this was the right company to handle our tours. We are 2 couples in our early 50s who are well traveled and have visited several wine regions both in the US and Europe. Mostly, I have traveled making my own arrangements with wineries and bodegas however, in my research of Mendoza it was highly recommended to use a guide and I am so glad that we did! Although their are many wineries that are beautifully equipped for tours and tastings, Mendoza is vast with 3 major wine regions. It is in the earlier stages of wine tourism and many require appointments. Taste of Mendoza was expert at scheduling 2 full days of tours and we saw the gamut of wineries from sophisticated larger wineries to "mom and pop" operations. Our driver JP was knowledgeable not just in the wineries but in history, politics and Argentina. We all speak Spanish but JP spoke perfect English as well. We also used David on 2 other days as well as our transfers to the airport. I will say that I did opt to pay slightly more for a van on the 2 tour days because I felt that the car was too small for us to be comfortable on longer drives - glad I did this. Taste of Mendoza - Professional, personable, reliable, knowledgable, friendly, attentive. Well worth every penny you will not be disappointed.

Bodega Escorihuela Winery was established in 1884. The original stone makes this historic place quaint, with a romantic ambience that is special. A Francis Mallman restaurant, its elegant interior and and outdoor garden dining area make you feel like you have been transported to another time.. Baby goat, mascarpone, and pumpkin ravioli we delicious but the service did not live up to its surrounds.

We rented the scooters to do a more extensive wine tour than by bike. The pick up was very easy, in a few minutes you are ready... For around 20u$d you have a great scooter for 1 or 2 persons, brand new and easy to go! They nearly don't use any gas, very economical. We took the road to the bodega mendes, that was really good (but make a reservation first). Then we took some bodegas towards maipu and from there it is a small half an hour ride back to the shop.
I would advise to take a taxi to the place to rent the scooters, pretty affordable and saves 15 blocks walking from downtown Mendoza. (It is San Martin in Godoy Cruz).
Perfect day with perfect scooters and an enthusiastic and helpful owner!!!
