We had been there as a family outing with kids for overnight camping in a tent, It's a beautiful , clean place the water rides were good enough , toilets and shower place are clean.Breakfast was good.Night there were bonfire , BBQ , and whole lot of things to keep you busy. Mr Mahmoud the manager ,was very kind and helpful. There is a mini zoo, good for kids to keep them entertained.The layout of the park was the best thing it has a systematic arrangements for changing rooms , clinics , souvenir shops, prayer rooms. Fantastic Experience overall.

Umm Al Quwain Fort, sometimes also called Fort Al Ali, lies in the center of the city with the same name, in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain. Umm Al Quwain Fort was built in 1786 by Sheikh Rashid I bin Majid Mu'alla. It had to protect the town and harbor and was used as the Sheikh's residence and a seat for his Government. In 1929 the ruling Sheikh, Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Mu'alla, was shot by 2 of his cousins in the western tower in an attempt to take overpower. The people of Umm Al Quwain however were furious, and the cousins took shelter in the fort. Several notables decided that the best course of action was to destroy the fort with the use of a cannon. This failed when the cousins shot the people who were towing the cannon towards the fort. After that a moat was dug around the fort which was filled with palm leaves. These were set alight after which also the fort fell prey to the fire, killing the rebellious cousins. Umm Al Quwain Fort kept its role as Sheikh's residence and seat of Government up until 1969. After that it turned into a police station. In 2000 it opened as a museum after a restoration. The fort has a rectangular ground plan with one round corner tower and a larger round tower in the west wall. At present Umm Al Quwain Fort houses the Umm Al Quwain National Museum which can be visited for a fee of 4 AED. Nearby are the remains of the city wall of 1820.

This is my second time I am visiting Fort Al Ali Umm Al Quwain Museum and I highly recommend it for those who have interest for historical background.

We were group of four friends and went for camping as well as for Bar Be Que but unfortunately both things were not allowed so we removed our camp and we just had dinner. We went there on 47th UAE national day and enjoyed really well. It is location one almost one hour from Dubai. Note: You cannot do bar be que and camping on this beach as it is not allowed but if you want to go for swimming highly recommended.

While driving from Dubai to Dreamland Aqua Park in Umm al Quwein, on E11 you will witness a Soviet Era Military plane showing adverts printed on its outside. This IL76 ilyushin Cargo plane was once owned by notorious arms dealer Victor Bout. IL76 Ilyushin is multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Soviet Union's Ilyushin design bureau. This plane was manufactured in 1975 bearing serial number 053403072 and commssioned in USSR as Soviet Military transport plane under the registration CCCP-86715. After the fall of USSR, it got commssioned for Russian Airforce with the registration RA-86715. In early nineties it was bought by UAE based airline known as Air Cess and registered as EL-RDT in 1997. Air Cess was owned by Sergei Bout, the brother of Victor Bout. Air Cess was first registered in Belgium but later moved to Sharjah. Air Cess was charged with several breaches of Civil Aviation Law. Yhis time Victor Bout renamed an airline with Centrafican Airlines. This aircraft was last registered to Centrafrican and carried registration mark, 3D-RTT in 1998. In 2000s, UAE banned Victour Bout from entering in their country. Investigation disclosed the involvement of an organization into illicit arms shipments to conflict zones. Victour Bout had two of these type of planes. we have no whereabouts of his second plane but this one proved to be one of those. His planes carried arms from Europe Via Middle east to Africa. He was arrested in Thailand and now imprisoned for 25 years in US jail. This aircraft was landed on this airfield in 1999. Eventually airfield was closed by authorities few years ago. There are several stories behind the presence of this aircraft in UAE. First one says that it was landed by accident and later sold to the company willing to convert it into a restaurant later. Second one, that it was landed due to low fuels and later sold to scrap dealer but approval wasnt granted to them. Third one is the Victor Bout's pilot mistakenly landed on this base and got arrested with the plane confiscated. I asked one of their representative and he said that it was flown from Ras Al Khaimah airport an landed to this base situated in Umm al Quwayen. Whatever the story lies behind this aircraft, this is now a landmark to see in UAE. Tires and landing gear is sunken in the desert and all the windows covered with thick sand. Doors are left open with equipment and seats missing shows the cruelty of life.
