Torii Mor Winery

A group of us visited in mid December and really enjoyed the wine, the people, and the place. It feels very intimate. Sipping wine, catching up with friends, and munching on the ‘picnic’ we brought, a kind of pinch yourself thought went through my mind. We are so very lucky to live nearby and do our small part to support this amazing winery. Looking forward to a return trip soon. Thank you Torii Mor!

Today, situated on a certified organic 85-acre property in the Dundee Hills appellation, and farming another 43 acres of vineyards in Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills, B Corp-certified Sokol Blosser remains committed to a sustainable approach. This respect for nature has consistently captured the terroir of the region, showcasing its essence through the brilliance of its estate fruit.

We visited Sokol Blosser for wine tasting by prior reservation on August 3rd at $20 per person. Masks were required except when tasting due to coronavirus. The weather, tasting area and views were great as was the hospitality and the wines. We had Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot noir and enjoyed them all. Hospitality was outstanding and it is highly recommended!

We wanted to visit several of the wineries during our short visit to Portland and this one was on our short list. There were several Pinots that I enjoyed, previously only being a fan of cabs. Kathryn was behind the counter (working there while studying for the Master Sommelier rating and while her husband interns there) and is a wealth of knowledge having been a Sommelier for almost 20 years. We were very fortunate to have been able to be served by her and would gladly return again if ever in the area. Thank you for making this visit our best wine tasting of the wineries we visited.

The Four Graces Winery

With so many wineries in the area, how do you choose if it is your first trip to the area? We went here based on TripAdvisor recommendations, and were not disappointed. They serve excellent reds and whites in a small farmhouse tasting room. Our server was very friendly and informative. We bought two bottles of white wines, which waived the tasting fee. I would definitely recommend a visit to this winery to taste their great wines.

Domaine Roy et Fils began in 2012 with Marc-André Roy and Jared Etzel who continue in their fathers footsteps whom partnered to establish Beaux Frères Winery in 1991. Over 20 years later, the two families have kept the same focus of producing top quality wine through meticulous and almost obessive work in the estate vineyards. Tastings available by appointment.

We have probably been to 30-40 vineyards in this area and this is one of the most amazing tasting rooms we have ever been to. They have 16' high plate glass surrounded by beautifully formed concrete. We sat outside during 70 degree weather and each did a tasting accompanied by a $20 cheese & salami plate that was a very nice pairing to the wine. The wines & service were very good. This place would be great for a sunny day or a downpour - Really nicely set up & cant wait to go back.

Evening Land Vineyards

Historically, Seven Springs Vineyard, first planted in 1983, has produced some of the finest grapes grown in the United States and was selected as one of the Top 10 Vineyards in America by Food and Wine Magazine. The Wine Advocate has regarded it as "one of Oregon's finest, most consistent vineyards." With the 2012 release, Evening Land saw the highest score ever issued to an Oregon wine, 98 points from Wine Spectator Magazine. Evening Land's director of winemaking, Rajat Parr is a two-time James Beard Award Winner and co-author of the book Secrets of the Sommeliers. Reserve tastings available to experience and have the opportunity to purchase the most coveted wines from the estate, including access to our library of high-scoring wines, served in Zalto stemware. Situated in the northeastern Eola-Amity Hills, Seven Springs Vineyard is dry-farmed using biodynamic practices. Seven Springs Vineyard is LIVE certified and has been fully converted to organic and biodynamic farming practices since 2007. The Pacific Ocean breeze, volcanic soil, eastern exposure, and high elevation contribute to the natural preservation of the grapes' acidity and enrich the wines with elegant flavors and minerality. Taking advantage of the unique and distinctive terroir, the vineyards potential is explored by mixing old vines and new plantings, blending distinct blocks and experimenting with micro-cuvees that lie on the volcanic soils in the heart of the Seven Springs hillside. With every bottling, you can taste why Seven Springs Vineyard is truly such a special place.

Went here on a random Friday in December, which meant we were the only people in the tasting room. Great wine educator, who walked us through their currently released wines, their terroir and how they are made. All of them were great. Overall a great experience.
