Columbus is a city in Columbia (mostly) and Dodge Counties in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 4,991 at the 2010 census. All of this population resided in the Columbia County portion of the city. Columbus is located about 28 miles (45 km) northeast of Madison on the Crawfish River. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area. Nearly all of the city is located within the town of Columbus in Columbia County, though a small portion lies within the town of Elba in Dodge County.

We were recently visited Wisconsin and stopped here for the best grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup! Wisconsin cheese is awesome and their cheese sandwiches are in a league all their own. After that we had some amazing ice cream, that rivals any high end shop that we have even been to. They have over 50 flavors to choose from and best of all you don't feel like you have robbed when the bill comes.. This place is great! The food taste wonderful. The staff are friendly and we really enjoyed sitting under the covered patio to enjoy an ice cream cone while taking in the sights and sounds of their dairy farm.

Make sure someone knows you're going here, if they don't hear from you for a few days, they can send help!! This place is huge! Inventory is always changing, cool place to hang out when its too hot (or cold) outside!
