North Brother Mountain

We have driven to the lookout at North Brother a couple of times. The views in both directions from dedicated viewing platforms are fantastic. The road up there is good with easy passing of opposing traffic and there is ample parking. If you have time there are several walks to follow. Highly recommend.

Kattang Nature Reserve

Reviewed By PhilMalone - Footscray, Australia

I would definitely recommend this varied walk through different varieties of vegetation with views that are spectacular at the end . There are also some good views along the way of the coastline (see my picture). It is not a difficult walk - we did it in 1 hour return. you would want to pick a clear day as the views will not be rewarding on a day with low clouds or drizzle.

Love this great little cinema for an old world theatre experience with affordable prices and comfortable seating in exquisite surroundings. My family love to visit when holidaying in the area. Also a great place to catch a latest release in comfort and style

Dooragan National Park

Leave the car behind and walk up the hill on the track through the beautiful bush. Then you will appreciate the great view all the more. Well maintained national park facilities at the top; information board, many picnic spots and clean toilets, with more toilet rolls than our local supermarket during the initial Covid outbreak. As the track is steep, we chose to return via the road, which makes for a long walk back to town.

Pilot Beach

Reviewed By Taffry - Sydney, Australia

Great swimming beach protected by the breakwater. Lovely sand with shady trees at the back of the beach. Great for little kids. What makes it 5star is that it is next door to washhouse beach. So you also get a stunning surf beach to walk along with great rockpooling at low tide. No dogs on pilot beach, but adjacent washhouse is dog off leash at North end. We tried our dog in the shady trees whilst we swam at pilot beach then gave her a great run at washhouse.

Beautiful, uncrowded beach where the dog was able to run and chase waves. The cafe at the surf club serves fabulous coffee and food with out door tables overlooking the break wall and surf. We highly recommend the cafe!
