Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu

Although this historic hospital, which dates back to the 1400s, still functions as a retirement home, its primary significance now lies as a tourist attraction.

This is a wonderful place to visit. Steeped in history, this building functioned as a hospital for over 500 years. The self-guided tour is wonderful, much better than I remembered during my last visit 15 years ago, with incredible ancient art cloistered at the end. The free audio guides, available in English, are extremely informative and well done.

You will also find gourmet regional produces and dishes prepared in Burgundy, foies gras... This place is special. You will not only pass by, you will lounge around .

Following TripAdvisor ratings we went to this place around noon with all other options closed because of the time of the day or simply summer vacation.
It was no mistake and one of the best tasting experiences ever!
We had a lot of fun with blind tasting some great and special burgundy wines accompanied with great food recommendations.
However, it wasn't only fun, but very educational too. We learned how to appreciate great burgundy wines and smell and taste nuances as well as about the economics and challenges of wine production in the region.
We will definitely return for more :-)

Maison Joseph Drouhin

Reviewed By Tim R - Charlotte, NC, USA

The tour and tasting at Joseph Drouhin starts with a walk outside and around the grounds for some winery history. We then entered one of the oldest buildings, which contained an original wine press from circa 1570. From this building, we descended into the caves. Although our guide explained that the oldest bottles in these particular caves were no more than 15 years old, the visuals of caves dating from Roman times and rows of dust covered bottles, some covered in a fungus, made for an amazing tour.
At the end of the tour, we did a tasting of 3 whites and 3 reds. Our guide was friendly, but difficult to understand at times. At the tasting table, her description of one red wines was “This one has more animal flavors. It has a flavor of lizard."
The tour is not inexpensive at 38 € (~$45 US). The history and amazing visuals of the cave tour were well worth the time. So, if you are a fan of Jospeh Drouhin wines, it is definitely worth the money.

Parc de la Bouzaize

Reviewed By zebecToronto - Toronto

This park is well-maintained and attracts loads of local families. A local lycee that specializes in training teens for the grape-wine business sits alongside. A lovely stream runs into it and the entry building has outstanding creeper vines along the walls. There are a few duck families who live there in the large pond and a modest carousel pleases the little ones. But for us the real attraction was that the park was en route to the vineyards. Exit through the unmarked, narrow gate at the NW corner behind the house-like building. Just 12 minutes beyond, into the Les Teurons climat, one finds an official 'aire de pique-nique' table site. The table is a peaceful respite and satisfaction is guaranteed to those who've brought along a tasty picnic. 'Bouze' means dung, btw.

We did a tour of the factory, it was a combination of walking/posters/audio.
You walk above the factory floor(awesome) and overlook the different process to make the whine. The audiotour to guide you through the process was not really synced with the posters you read. Which makes it a little bit chaos in the beginning. But after a while you get used to it. The tour was interesting as was the way to view the factory.
The tour ended by tasting the cremant, very easygoing and relaxed.

Loved our visit here. Nice, quiet, not overrun with tourists. Castle has not been overly renovated/refurbished, so gives you a sense of how it really was. Many rooms have exhibits/collections for viewing. If you like old Castles, definitely worth a stop. Be sure to check out the museum with old planes, autos, mechanicals.

Patriarche Pere & Fils

Reviewed By huntejk - Houston, Texas

We did the self-guided tour on a Sunday, a day many things are closed. We went in the morning, but there were big lines so we came back later in the day. We are very familiar with Bourgogne domaines and are mostly interested in anything different about their processes and the quality of their wines. We didn't learn much about the wines from the tour and we were totally unimpressed by the ten wines offered for tasting. At that point our opinion of Patriarche was mediocre. A couple days later we were on a private wine tour and our last stop was Patriarche which initially did not make me too happy. However my view totally turned around. Our tour was with the director, Michele, and we were able to learn about the wines themselves in addition to the history of Patriarche. The tour was good but the tasting was better. We tasted some really stunning wines, including several grand cru and some really special older vintages. We ended up buying a half case. I would say if you know wines, don't do their standard tour, but don't write off their wines, they have some beauties.

Millesimes a la Carte

Reviewed By Mike Z - Boca Raton

We visited Millesimes a la Carte after we had been on Chablis and Burgogne wine tours, and seen what seemed like endless cellars. While enjoyable, after hearing about the terroir and how each slope and plot and winemaker varies, the best thing to do is taste the stuff. It's good to know where the wine came from, to get a feel for how it may be, but tasting is the only true test. So, once you have a feel for Burgogne, this is the place to go. Thierry obviously loves and knows wine and can steer you to those you may prefer, but you make your own selection, you can taste high end and older wines not available elsewhere , and it's way better than tasting the too low end wines offered at the cellars themselves. Taste and pours can be totally up to you, which frankly, I found refreshing. We loved our visit here and will definitely recommend it.

During your visit, you will get acquainted with a method of production worried of offering the best of the terroir, in the respect for the tradition. Then explore all the typicality of a renowned terroir around a tasting of wines...

We were interested in the machinery of wine making. The young man at the Office of Tourism recommended Domaine Debray. The tour and tasting cost 6 euros a person. The guy kind of hurried us through the tour. I can't say that it is informative. May be the process would be more interesting if there are actually grapes being processed (we visited in May). The winery is rather small. We tasted 6-7 kind of wine. I am not any kind of wine buff. All I can say most of them tasted harsh.
