My wife and I did full day float trip with Phil on our honeymoon in August 2020. She had never caught a fish on a fly rod and is now ruined for good after hooking into rainbows and dolly varden all day! The upper Kenai is an amazing river and an experience we’ll always remember. Phil took us out at first light to try for silver salmon and we enjoyed the sunrise on the river. We shared the boat with his dog Kai, who loves a good float trip. Thanks for a great time Phil and we would definitely recommend booking a trip with him at Lake View Outfitters if you are in Cooper Landing.

Russian River Falls

Reviewed By JosephH778 - Beavercreek, United States

A kayak guide from Seward recommended my wife and I drive to Russian River Falls, hike the 2.1 miles to the falls, and enjoy the salmon run while possibly also seeing some bears. The guide was spot on! After seeing documentaries on TV seeing salmon leap from river level to one another while running the 'gauntlet' of bears, it was a bit surreal to personally witness it! This hike, during salmon run, is most definitely worth the $11 parking fee!
