We popped over to this museum on a rainy day. I knew very little about Glenn Curtiss and early airplane history. We loved it! Glenn Curtiss was a very creative, very interesting person who did a lot of inventing. It was fun watching his life and inventions play out, and the early air pioneers start the industry.

The reds are awesome at this winery. Highly recommend the Blaufrankish. (Sometimes called Lemberger). Also loved the Chardonnay (bought 8 bottles). They offer a nice case discount, which we took advantage of. Nice outdoor seating area, and also tastings in the barn. We were there on October 11th in the barn and had a super knowledgeable man for our tasting. He was helpful and knew a lot about wines and the history of the winery. We didn’t expect to buy anything but ended up with a case!!

Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country, this family-owned winery is popular for its humorous tours, spectacular scenery and artsy wine labels.

due to Covid, Bully Hill has adjusted their wine tasting to start at the top or each hour. (reservations required). They then take whoever has signed up into a decent size room, where you have your own table distanced from others. What is great about the wine tasting, is you are entertained while doing your tasting! They cover a fascinating story of the founder Mr Taylor, his lawsuit fights, various stories of events that happened throughout all of this, local support and of course the story of the goat! Much more than just a tasting, good history , humorous stories and the tales behind the "david vs goliath" battle mr taylor went through.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is one of the most prestigious and beloved wineries in the Finger Lakes. The winery's founder, Dr. Konstantin Frank introduced vinifera (classic European grape varieties) to the Eastern United States which ignited a winemaking renaissance in the region. Without the contributions of Dr. Frank, the Finger Lakes wine region would not be where it is today. The winery was established in 1962 and is now in its fourth generation of Frank family ownership. The winery's tasting room overlooks beautiful Keuka Lake and some of the oldest vinifera vineyards in America.

Summary: Best wines, breathtaking view, and the best history of any winery we visited. Can’t miss this one if you are taking a tour of this area! Wine: Absolutely fantastic wines! A bunch of cool varietals you don’t usually see from this area, plus some amazing blends (but with so many different kinds of fruit to work with, there’s really no surprise there!). Sweet, dry, whites, reds, roses, sparkling, and everything in between; really something for everyone. Ambiance/View: BEAUTIFUL lake views and a very nice tasting room. We were lucky that there weren’t many people visiting when we went, but it seemed like it’d have enough room to still get good service if it got busy. Another really nice thing about this place is that we were greeted by Steven as soon as we walked up! It was so nice to have someone to get direction from right off the bat. Plus he was so nice and welcoming! A definite plus. Education: The tasting room staff (our bartender Vinnie, and the other bartender Paul) were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the vineyards - and what a history it is! It was so cool to learn about Dr. Frank and his contributions; plus we heard his name pop up so many more times from other wineries in the area recognizing his contributions. We didn’t do a tour, but next time we come back, we will definitely try to get in on the tours - they seemed amazing and included food for the price.

Ravines was one of the five wineries we visited in the Finger Lakes. After tastings their Riesling and hearing a little of their story, I researched more info on this gem - very interesting. Their expertise definitely shows in the quality of their wine. I would recommend putting this winery on any list of wineries to visit.

Wonderful tasting experience in a beautiful and welcoming environment! Upon arriving, we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable wine pourer, Chrissy. She managed to turn a typical tasting into a fun & upbeat getaway. We can't say enough about the difference her personal attention made to us, especially during these less than festive holiday restrictions. Besides the overall terrific interaction and delicious wines, the view from the tasting room is to die for and always brings us back.

Keuka Lake Vineyards

We visited this winery in 2012. We made sure that we found it again this trip and glad we found it again! The wines are all great here. The winery sits high upon a hill with the vineyards growing down towards the lake. The last time we were here the lady told us about how deep the roots of the vines grow here & how the different levels of the roots reach different minerals in the soil and affect the taste of the grapes. You enter the winery thru a grape arbor. The tasting room has a long solid wood tasting bar. The women who were doing the tastings were extremely knowledgeable about the wines and shared lots of interesting information with us. They had a Vignoles CO2 2018 bubbly wine that they had us try (not part of the tasting). It was very different and we really liked it. Our favorites were KLV Red 2015 blend, Cab. Franc, a Dry Rose (don't usually like Rose but this one was really good). We also liked the Rieslings, Gewürztraminer and Turkey Run Vignoles. This is a small winery but has the highest quality and taste . We love it.

After a wine tour, our group wanted to change it up ....so we went here. Greeted right upon entering, sat at the bar. They were busy so got some menus and made our choices. Two in the group tasted all 15, and that was on the counter in minutes. I had a couple samples and a pint. The service was prompt and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and the bar tender made recommendations. Prices were reasonable for a taster, 2$ which is a three sipper.

Pleasant Valley Wine Company

The Pleasant Valley Wine Company was born in 1860 in Hammondsport, New York with $10,000 from 13 local businessmen. Pleasant Valley was designated as U.S. Bonded Winery No. 1 in its State and Federal districts. Having survived Prohibition and several ownership changes, the winery in 1995 returned to local family control. We proudly make champagnes, table wines, and dessert wines under the Great Western, Widmer, Gold Seal, Pleasant Valley, and Brickstone Cellars labels. Our expansive facility includes 8 unique buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. We own more than 500 acres of vineyards above Keuka and Seneca Lakes in the Finger Lakes.

it was our first visit here and we were very impressed. The lobby has a self guided tour of how champagne and wines are made. There are awards the winery won, old furniture, huge wine barrel ( approx 12 feet tall) they retired and its on display in lobby. The tasting was free which was really awesome. Prices to buy wine were very reasonable. You can take a tour of the bldgs. but it was closed when we went. We will definitely go again and go on tour..Tons of parking
