Four of us had dinner tonight and I would rate this restaurant as average. We had an order of grilled octopus with cannelloni beans, red sauce and garlic.
Octopus was a little tough and that is not unusual, only once and it at thr Break in Naaragansett RI was it very tender. Sauce was a little too spicy and I enjoy a spicy sauce.
The soppersata with fig and ricotta was outstanding.
I had two meatballs with sauce and shredded mozzarella. Meatball was pretty flavorful but it was room temperature at best.
My wife had spaghetti and meatballs, just a little too much garlic in the sauce.
Ourne guests had pasta with pesto and shrimp and it was very good, just enough pesto.
The othe guest ordered fusilli with meat sauce and it was good.
Service was very good.
For dessert a generous slice of lemon ricotta pie. It needs not to be so sweet.
Bottom line folks is spend more time with the detail and you will bring it up a notch.

Visited last summer and forgot to review.
The place serves good food and big-sized portions. Atmosphere is very old school but cozy. The staff was primarily teenagers who did not seem to be particularly interested in being there and that was a negative point of the visit.

This place was recommended by our hotel, Best Western. The location is convenient for shopping and walking around town. The food was fantastic and service was very good. Servers were all friendly and accommodating, our server was Tara. We will visit this spot again when in the Finger Lakes area.

Only place I go for ice cream in town. The girls are always so nice and pleasant and the serving sizes are huge!!! They do an outstanding job in all ways. Just wish they had something else to offer like a small area children can play. With it being on the flower shop the area can get pretty crowded.

Although the wines were cheaper than Dr Frank's, they were all exceptional. Instead of using high priced cork in their bottles, they use a synthetic type and pass the savings on to their customers. Their sweet wines were delicious and the variety for amazing. Price was a lot less than Dr. F!

Annual Columbus Day getaway for our neighborhood group...12 of us for dinner after hiking Watkins Glen state park...nice service...solid foods...apps were better than the entrees...Thai curry mussels were good, but the broth was great for dunking...tuna app was very good...people liked the asiago shrimp dish...grouper dish was good, but could've been hotter...overall, a nice spot if you're in hammondsport

Our visit for a light repast in the pub section of the Inn was a welcome treat. The soup of the day, roasted sunchoke, ws delicious. The caesar salad was well-prepared and very tasty. Fries on my wife's dish were prepared perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive.
I recommend this restaurant highly.

What a wonderful experience to be sitting outdoors, watching fellow diners arrive by boat and by pontoon plane to enjoy a pleasant meal. Wednesday was Mexican food night and everyone at our table had a different dish. Only the shrimp tacos were a disappointment. Every one else was lavish with praise for the food.
The list of beer choices is good with a mix of local as well as national and international offerings. I enjoyed the brown ale from a local brewery so much I had a second.
Our server was outstanding and friendly, representing the restaurant well.

My wife and I stopped by here last Saturday for a quick lunch. Although we had been in Hammondsport numerous times, we had never stopped here. We thought we should give it a try.
The menu is interesting. I ordered a Tunisian tuna sandwich on a wheat ciabatta bread. My wife a grilled cheese with tomato panini. My Tunisian tuna was different but quite good. Instead of mayonnaise it used salsa. Plus it had a fried egg and dill pickles with cilantro on it. I recommend it! The grilled cheese panini on the other hand was lacking a key ingredient- cheese. There was so little on it that my wife felt like she was just eating grilled bread. She was quite disappointed and understandably so.
The place is different. Lots of art for sale along with the small cafe. Most of the art I was not thrilled about, but that is art. The cafe tables were not very clean and the door was open (no screen) so bees would come buzzing in from time to time.
This place is attempting to be an artsy cafe. With some attention to detail, it can be.

Wanted a place to walk to for breakfast in Hammondsport. This place was recommended by a local. Had the farmer’s Benedict with sausage gravy vs traditional sauce. Nicely done. My husband had a western omelet. Well done. Service was quick, friendly. Reasonably priced. In fact with the rest of the morning spent on errands we ended up walking there for lunch as well. Highly recommend the Popeye burger. We are beer snobs and I would rave about the selection of local and other craft brews offered. Definitely will revisit.
