Our time at Elefantastic was amazing. From the driver who picked up up, to the delicious traditional lunch at the owner's mother's house, to feeding the elephant, painting her with local and safe paint, washing her, her washing us!, and walking with her around the grounds, it just couldn't get better. The staff were extremely nice and attentive, taking photos of us hen we wanted, and giving us some peace with the elephant when we wanted. Overall incredible experience with an organization that treats the elephants very well. Highly recommended!

We met Ankit and learned about Elefanjoy on our visit to Jaipur. I was traveling with 3 of my kids (aged 13-20) and when we were offered to go see the new baby elephant, we all enthusiastically said YES! Once at the Sanctuary, we all participated in feeding them with Chapatis that we helped to make. Then we were put to the creative task of painting the elephants with the bright colored non-toxic paints-- it was so fun to see what each of the kids designed! Then we learned all about the elephants, their habits, their likes/dislikes. We saw how kind and soft mannered each of the elephant trainers were. We got to ride on them down to the water and bathe them- Each of my kids came away with a deep love, appreciation and newfound understanding of these incredible creatures. We still stay in touch with Ankit and my kids frequently talk about "remember when we got to go play with elephants in Jaipur"? They have their photos and more importantly their fond memories of being able to experience such a unique and unforgettable day with these massive creatures! If you want to experience elephants "up close and personal" then Elefanjoy is the place to do it! Best in Jaipur, BEST in INDIA!

Longewala War Memorial

The Battle of Longewala (4–7 December 1971) was one of the first major engagements in the western sector during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Your visit to Jaisalmer is incomplete without visiting this magnificent place located around 110 kms. from Jaisalmer town which is around 3 hours drive and yes it is totally worth it. The roads leading to Longewala are smooth and you will find vast open spaces of the Thar Desert on either side of the road. The Yudh Sthal showcases the factual account of the 1971 war that took place here and it has on display captured tanks, guns, artillery etc. that were left behind by the retreating army. It also highlights the glorious and selfless contribution of the officers and jawans who risked everything in the line of duty and their unflinching dedication to the protection of the nation. A museum in the compount exhibits all the relevant information about the war which is descriptive. A visit to this place also brings out the nostalgic memories of those events and a chance to be proud of our Army who despite all adversities defend the security and sovereignty of the nation. It is a must visit destination of the Jaisalmer itinerary. Period.

We had an amazing time with the lovely people of Elesafari. Along with the Elephant Experience we also booked their services for a day tour of Jaipur. The itinerary provided was pretty comprehensive. Still on our request they added two attractions without any hesitation. We were provided a very friendly driver who was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We were very comfortable in his company. After the day tour of Jaipur we visited Elesafari farm at late afternoon. We were greeted with lovely elephants swinging their tails and enjoying their meal. We were explained about the experience and then the owner introduced us to our elephant Tara. We spent the next couple of hours feeding and pampering her. We also got a chance to paint her using chemical free colours which was my favourite part. After bathing them we took her for a short walk along with the setting sun. She's a sweetheart so gentle and so clam. It was an experience that I'll never forget. Also special thanks to the team at farm who went out of their way and made sure we enjoyed. We will surely visit again and whole heartedly recommend this to everyone.
