March 17, 2022 Madelene Haan

St. Ives boasts a quartet of golden-sand beaches. Sheltered coves draw swimmers and sun-worshippers, but water-sports aficionados visit St. Ives for great surfing, windsurfing and water-skiing conditions. And on your way there, keep your eyes peeled for a dude with seven wives. You never know when nursery rhymes might come true.

Saw this last night. A fun little play in a tiny theatre which in itself is part of the attraction - something a bit different. Excellent value for £32 for a family of four. We all enjoyed it and we’ll be back next year I hope.

I had the most wonderful few treatments with Sally while on holiday for a week in St Ives - a head, shoulder and back massage, and some reflexology. I had a text exchange with Sally when I was making an initial enquiry and found her to be extremely responsive, warm, friendly and professional. Meeting her was a true joy and her treatments were incredibly nourishing and restorative. I've had quite a lot of massage in my life and can safely say Sally's touch, presence and sensitivity was one of the best I've had the pleasure of encountering. I felt lighter after seeing her, and felt myself to be in really safe hands. If I lived in St Ives I would have regular treatment with her without a doubt. My mum had a treatment too, and felt the same - thank you Sally!

Perched at the top of a quieter lane, away from the hubbub of Fore Street you can find this fabulous and constantly changing world of colour and originality. It's top of my list every time I visit St Ives now, and whether I'm looking for a small keepsake for myself or a statement piece of jewellery for a friend's big number birthday, I always find something special and unique within the walls of Sweet Lime. If you're lucky enough to visit on a day when the exquisitely dressed owner and maker Elspeth is present, then it's worth seeking her advice, she has a wealth of knowledge and style to share, designs and makes some of the beautiful pieces in store and is even able to create bespoke pieces sometimes. LOVE this place!
