I have always wanted a silk rug. So on my recent trip to UAE my friend Derryl McLaren suggested I visit SHEBA IRANIAN CARPETS&ANTIQUES store. As a solo traveller I really appreciated it when Rashad offered to meet me @ my hotel in Abu Dhabi & drive me to his carpet shop in Dubai. He was very prompt to meet with me & I felt very privileged to able to spend time with him. He was extremely courteous & respectful to me & I had a very exciting day choosing my beautiful silk rug to bring home to Australia. Rashad was most engaging with his direct & frank discussions & @ no time did I feel pressured to make a purchase which really impressed me. He was very generous to me with both time & hospitality which included a most delicious fish lunch, that only a true local can provide & then he showed me the best highlights that Dubai has to offer, including the the Burj Khalifa & the amazing Atlantis hotel. I would highly recommend a visit to the Sheba Carpets & Antiques stores in Sharjah UAE. It was much more than just buying a carpet, it was like meeting a new friend, thank you so much Rashad for my wonderful experience, Susanna.

I live in sharjah and I have been to many spas in dubai as well but this is one of the best experiences I have had and the best spa I have been to. The Moroccan bath was the best ever they use the most amazing aromatic products and it was for an hour and half of absolutely bliss. face reshing with mandarin and foam massage and hair treatment is one of the best I have had along with it I also tried the Hilot massage which cleared the blockages with the amazing aromatic oils they use so much so I wanted to even buy the oils which are so worth it and they even sell them there.Ms Ulana the manager is so friendly and welcoming that you always want to go back and I must say Ms Marlyn is the best masseuse ever so much so you want to go back for more ...I cant wait to go back and try other massages as they are truly worth the money spent and you come out feeling ever refreshed...

I decided to go to Museum of Archeology in Sharjah for their temporary exhibition of “The Echo of Caravans: Pre-Islamic Civilization Sites in Saudi Arabia” (until Jan 31, 2019). I enjoyed this exhibition a lot and since getting a tourist visa to KSA is very difficult, I did not want to miss it. Plus KSA is a big country, it requires commitment to visit these major sites on one trip. The museum also houses many precious and significant artifacts from the archeological sites in UAE. There are many things that I love, but specifically, the gold horse bridles. The reconstruction of the tomb of Al Buhais 18 is another favorite - especially how the jewelry of one of the women buried there was excavated as it was found settling on her crushed skull. Very interesting. For archeology enthusiasts, this museum is a must-see.

Another Sharjah gem and affordable day out. Some displays are blocked off due to Covid rules however what is open is adequate for small children. Nice interactive and interesting displays. Perfect for smaller children ages 5-10 however teenagers might be bored easily. I have rated this a 5/5 as it’s affordable, clean and interesting and it will be much better as well once all the displays are open.

Sharjah Art Museum

Reviewed By 534hansk - Zurich, Switzerland

The museum has several exhibitions. Most interesting one is the museum collection with works from many arab countries since second half of the 20th century which is mainly a testimony of the evolution of visual art in the region and also shows how the western styles influenced the regional artists. A small corner of the museum contains "The light of the Orient" which is a collection of Orientalist art of the 19th century owned by HH the Ruler of Sharjah and mainly shows an European view on regional subjects. The exhibitions are very well documented so take your time.
