A great history of paper making from China 100 BC to Italy 1300’s and up to modern times. It has working machinery from the 18th century, and demonstration of early hand made methods of making paper from rags. Casa Leopardi

Casa Leopardi in Recanati is the birthplace of one of the world's best loved writers and poets, Giacomo Leopardi. It has a rare library containing 20.000 volumes, which is visited every year by a large and varied public.

If you are a fond of Italian literature and of Italian Philosophers who have questioned themselves about the purpose of life and their sense of being in our universe, then you must absolutely stop at Recanati and visit Giacomo Lepardi's house and home town. I have been pleasantly surprised by what I gained from this experience. Recanati, houses a museum with multimedia devices that take you on a journey in Leopardi's world; his home gives you an understanding of the environment in which he grew up, how social events and mutations, Scientific discoveries, Religion and Art influenced him. I highly recommend a visit and after this going again through his portfolio.
