Good location, secured parking. Nice, rustic house. Great and friendly owner. You will like the place even more if you are a petrolhead, more concrete, an Alfa lover. Owner speaks great English, rooms are clean, breakfast good.

Modern aspect, friendly staff, comfort, very clean rooms, quality decoration, natural flowers everywhere, fresh food(eggs prepared by request, in front of you). As a total, an experience that increased the general feeling of delightful stay in Cluj-Napoca! Thank you! Near the river, a very short walk distance from the center of the city and the parking place where also a plus! The impression was that is a very good management and staff beyond all of this! Congratulations to all! Definitely a place where you want to return!

Lot of room to improve

Reviewed By Radu V

I was there for a couple of nights and I must say I was not thrilled. The room I got was at the ground floor of the hotel, but it was in fact below the street level. The result is that anybody from the street can look down through the window and there is a very uncomfortable feeling of lack of privacy. Otherwise, the room was big and comfortable and nice. Another problem was the fact that the door frame simply broke when I tried to open it. Do not imagine I am some kind of muscle guy, I am a physicist (yes, think Sheldon Cooper...) and yet, when I tried to open the door, the frame broke at the door lock - which meant the door was not closing properly anymore. I suspect it was already a bit loose and it just broke the first time I opened it. Although the lady at the reception was there and saw very well what happen, the result is that they asked me to pay for the repair - not much, some 20 EUR, but I find this very unfair. Finally, the breakfast was nothing special, although it was plentiful. What reminded me very much about the old communist times was that I was receiving every morning some breakfast vouchers that I had to give to the waiter. In short, maybe it works if you cannot find something better, but honestly I will avoid returning there.

From the kind, helpful friendly English-speaking Maria at check-in to the staff on duty the following day, I can't state enough favorable things about this wonderful find. The 5-bed dorm room was comfortable and warm, the pillow was amazingly soft and fluffy and the bunks made of solid wood. Large lockers are in a separate room, and can hold packs of varying sizes. There were four sinks in the ladies room, three separated toilet rooms and a room with three showers (w/curtains). Plenty of space for all. The large common area was comfortable with couches and a coffee table, and smelled heavenly - a room deodorizer or fresh flowers, whatever it was, I wanted to spend all my time there. :-) The guesthouse is close to everything: the nearby town squares, the churches and the tall stone tower, cafes and bars, and all manners of restaurants. It is about 3 kilometers from the bus/train stations, an easy, flat walk. WIFI was strong and appeared to work in the dorm room as well as the common area. Free parking on site for those with own vehicles. It didn't bother me so much but this may impact future guests: Speaking only from the point of view of someone who stayed in the 5-bed dorm, the motion sensor light in the hallway outside the glass dorm door flooded the room with light every time someone walked by (which seemed to happen an awful lot on the weekend nights I stayed). Perhaps a suggestion would be to have the ability of hanging up a thick curtain or blanket on the inside of the door to keep out the light? Just a thought....

HU: Nagyon jó helyen, központhoz nagyon közel helyezkedik el, mégis csendes környezetben. A központ néhány perces gyaloglással kényelmesen elérhetö. EN: This destination is a very good located, to the city center very closed accomodation, yet in a quiet environment. The center is easily reached on foot in a few minutes. It's easy to find and it isn't unworthy that the pension has its own parking lot! The reception staff is always friendly and helpful, and you can pick up your room in no time. The comfortable, very clean rooms (at least the room handed over to us) are not only VERY spacious and bright, but tastefully and very well equipped. Despite a single personal use, it had a REALLY LARGE French bed with very comfortable, thick and soft mattresses for people with a healthy back (unfortunately not the case for me). This room has a large entrance hall with a work desk and its own capsule coffee maker ... The bathroom is large and bright and I am especially surprised that it is equipped with a bidet and a Wirlpool in addition to a toilet, which is not very typical for a boarding house or a 4-star hotel! Excellent cuisine and an extremely rich selection of buffet breakfasts. The hotel is part of a large and beautiful restaurant with a covered or large parasol garden, which not only has a fantastically large selection, but also all the many dishes we tried out with our companions. Of course, there is also live music in the evening (we were there on Sunday night), played by a pleasant three-member band. I also note that it is not a good idea to book a table in advance, because Lacicsárda is especially popular with the locals. The waiters are fast and very diligent and can negotiate in multiple languages. I can recommend the pension as well as the restaurant 100% further, I will definitely try to find / to get my accommodation there next time as well.

Not that cozy

Reviewed By IonelaD16

The location is ok, you can get easy by bike or car to the attraction points, but the prices are overrated for what they "don't" offer. Breakfast is poor and is the same all the time and dinner is not worth the money requested in comparison with other barns from Crit or Viscri. We went every night and eath at the gastronomic points who requested the same money for dinner, but it was exceptio al. In the room was cold and the lights from the bathroom didn't work properly. The dogs were barking every night under our window. It is not a cozy place if you are looking foe the authentic Transilvania experience. The rooms are clean and the place looks amazing, but nothing else spectacular.

Stay away from this location!

Reviewed By Voyager325321

I came, I paid and I left right after seeing the room. The smell in the room and the very poor qualtity of...everything, including the location (parking literally in the middle of the road) made me give up the money and find somewhere else. the bed sheets seemed to have been washed a thousand times, crusty and old. The furniture is of the worst quality possible, not to mentioned the bathroom (as seen in the pictures). The TV cable not working properly. We had to pay immediately when we arrived to the property, there is no permanent receptionist at the location. No proper presentation of the hostel (no way it can be considered a hotel), the lady up front came, took the money (no invoice) and just left. Luckily, on the same day I found a beautiful room at Hotel Central (4-stars hotel) same price, breakfast included. The owner of Casa cu Cerdac promissed to return the paid money, but after 2 or 3 days he just said that he can't and will not. Don't go there! I have the e-mail where Booking.com confirms to me that they asked the owner to make and exception and return the money. Still no answer from the guy. There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Sighisoara, just don’t ruin your stay in this beautiful Romanian city.

Amazing place

Reviewed By pmd76

The apartment is located right on the main square and has an amazing view from the living room window. The rooms were large, decorated in a modern style and well appointed. The hosts were very friendly and easy to contact if you needed any assistance. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and there’s a large supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend staying here.
