Reviewed By FranorahmaThis is our second visit here, and it did not disappoint! We were warmly welcomed by Michela and Ottavia when we arrived and they told us we were the first guests of the season. We settled into our villa and it quickly became our home for the next week. We bought groceries and had breakfast in our villa every morning, looking out across the vineyards. We took long walks along the extensive trails on the property and enjoyed amazing sunsets. While we did venture out for a few "day trips", it felt so good to come "home" to this place every night. I was so sad the day we left, but I know we will be back!

Reviewed By Sanne KVery satisfied with our stay, nice large room, nice bathroom and all very clean and tidy. Really comfortable beds! Felt very secure with the lock systems. Friendly and helpfull owners. Would love to stay at Villa Martina again next time we visit Pisa ?

Reviewed By semmyk77It looked nice from the outside. The room was beautiful, with a comfortable large double bed, within the room there was an upstairs floor with a single bed. There was a TV which could be watched from the downstairs bed and the upstairs one, unfortunately did not have any english channels, but that wasn't a problem as we were not there to watch TV. There was a fridge with a selection of drinks and snacks(very reasonanle price) a kettle with complementary coffee, sweets and chocolate. The bathroom with a very powerful shower was absolutely spotless, with fresh towels and complentary shampoo, soaps etc. Free WiFi, air condinioning. Nice selection of food for breakfast and great gluten free selection as well. Very central, walking distance to the Tower of Pisa and other beautiful monuments, you can walk practically anywhere. Dario, the owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definetely reccommend this place and would love to go back soon. Semmy

Reviewed By hannakp4Wonderful place to rake a rest with a family. Very hospitable hosts. They organize nice italian evenings with good food. They have their own wine, honey and oil. Very nice view. Good place to visit Tuscany, close to many nice cities like Volterra, Piza, San Gimignano.

BEWARE CANCELLED ROOM!
Reviewed By SophieB3776I booked a room here for my husband's surprise 40th Birthday trip. The B and B sent me a message on the evening before my flight saying that they were cancelling our booking as there would be no one there to check us in, and that we would have to pay in full for the room!!!! They had sent a message a few hours earlier asking our arrival time, which was 9pm. They said their reception closed at 8pm and no one would wait to check my husband and our baby in....I mean, why can they not wait an hour, or leave a code for us to get in?! (Also, it does not specify that they will not check you in, if you are a little later than their reception times). I sent them many messages asking if they would give us a full refund in order to find and pay for another room at such short notice, but they refused, and were very abrupt, cold and unhelpful. Completely unconcerned that we may be roaming around Pisa at night with a new baby. What concerns me more, is that I booked the room a few weeks prior to this, so the hotel could have been in touch regarding our arrival time sooner. The fact that they waited until the afternoon before our arrival, makes me wonder if they had in fact double booked the room... They then cancelled our booking on booking.com to prevent us from writing a review. Please, please do not stay here! Pisa is full of far better options, with wonderful hosts who will go out of their way to help you, these people at Retro b and b will most definitely not! Rip off merchants, who sadly put a dampener on our introduction to Pisa, a beautiful city.
