Top 10 Specialty lodgings in Central Poland, Poland

May 2, 2023 Esmeralda Fenner

Home to the nation’s capital and biggest city of Warsaw, Central Poland is the entry point for most travelers who arrive in the country by air. Industrial Lodz, the second biggest city, is here too, almost exactly at the country’s middle. Poznan and Torun are also popular with tourists, each boasting very pretty Old Town areas. Kampinos National Park, Poland’s second-largest, covers about 150 square miles. It's within easy reach of Warsaw and is a great site for hiking, cycling and skiing.

Beautiful hotel but a lot is lacking…

Reviewed By 435agad

Beautiful hotel with many things to do to offer but I do have some cons to give unfortunately and therefore I give my experience 2 stars… I’ll list them below: 1) when myself and my mom arrived at the hotel, the woman at the reception seemed overly surprised we arrived… I feel the reception should prepare themselves on how many guests are arriving each day? I didn’t feel welcome by her unfortunately 2) the hotel advertises a pub and outdoor jacuzzi/sauna which was my selling point for deciding to stay in this spa hotel. Unfortunately only on arrival and only after searching and deciding to ask myself, I was informed the pub and outdoor spa are only opened at the weekends…….having booked a stay during the week made me miss my selling points….maybe the hotel should advertise more the rules for when the spots are indeed available for use? 3) what’s more on sauna point…the INDOR sauna opens only from 4pm regardless of a day! Really?! Why? Is this a school that you need rules to open sauna? I feel a spa hotel should have access to their wellness centre at all times? Or why didn’t you inform your guests before booking that your cool indoor sauna opens only from 4pm? 4) the restaurant has many tables and chairs outdoor in their restaurant patio, and since we had a puppy with us, we decided to dine outside, since we couldn’t walk with a puppy to a restaurant, which is understandable. What’s NOT understandable is the hotel’s rule that even though they have tables and chairs outdoor, they DONT SERVE outdoor! And I was asked to bring my own cutleries and wine glasses by myself if I wanted to eat outdoor, since the outdoor service is out of season yet. Really?! If your outdoor restaurant service is out of season, why do you have tables and chairs all nicely placed out?? I feel if I pay quite a money for a dinner in a fancy restaurant, I should be served outdoor regardless of a season, or at least you should entirely take those useless tables and chairs out of your patio?! As a sunmary, booking a stay in this hotel during spring/autumn and winter months during the week, will leave you to only use indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, while needing to wait for indoor sauna to open the doors from 4pm. You will also not be able to see or use a pub or outdoor sauna/jacuzzi. DISSAPOINTED! And I will not be coming back to this hotel unless it’s a summer and during the weekends…

Nice clean rooms

Reviewed By BaronFoer

The hotel is nice and convenient. However the wifi is very poor and intermittent. The food was okay with a distinct local flavor. Beds are average. Few accessories in the bathroom. There is hand soap but no soap for shower or shampoo. I did not use the spa so I can't comment on it.

Hotel is adequate

Reviewed By Jacalope

We were assigned a room on the second floor (up one flight of stairs), after the woman (owner?) checking us in looked at us, looked at her list, hemmed and hawed, looked at us again. We had booked a large twin room, and looking at photos on the booking site, I don’t think we got a large twin room, we got a small twin room. Though small, the room was adequate with ceramic floors, a table with 2 chairs, very narrow twin beds (about 80 cm) and quite clean. Walls were paper thin and we heard people struggling to plug things in the bathroom next to ours. Also there were groups of travelers arriving and chatting and enjoying life. That is a great thing but the fact that we could hear everything wasn’t the greatest. No real problem with the planes that fly directly overhead as they slow down as it gets dark. There was no cleaning at all in the room from one day to the next and the garbage isn’t even removed. Breakfast was reasonably good. Crepes with cream cheese were tasty. Scrambled eggs, tang juice, instant coffee, buns, jam butter, cold meats and cheeses. Same woman (owner?) was much more pleasant this morning. No city map available from reception and we were grateful to have purchased a SIM card and used GPS on the phone to find our way to the tram station. The hotel is a fair distance from downtown but we didn’t find it difficult (though probably 800 m to 1 km to tram station), using transit was easy. Can’t see staying here again.

Great standard in the heart of Ciechocinek

This hotel is worth a recommendation. Great location, parking, spacious modern room with ensuite bathroom, with all needed facilities. Various packages available at reasonable rates. The only weak point was that the romantic dinner that was included in my package had a predetermined menu (not possible to choose the dishes). SPA available on the spot with great treatments, possible to arrange with a lovely staff.

We stayed at the hotel Kopernik for 4 nights in month of August, 2019. We were treated very kindly (so as the other guests). The owner of the hotel, Ms. Grazyna, is truly an outstanding host, a warm and super friendly person. We were amazed with the culinary talents of Ms. Grazyna and her staff! We ate at the hotel the breakfasts and also dinners. We loved the hotel's interior and atmosphere. This place was spotless! A five stars Hotel!
