Good Base for Exploring Mayan Sites
Reviewed By JoeBenevidesOtoch Béek (Casa Robles) is in a great location for exploring the numerous Mayan sites in the area. Becán is just on the other side of the main highway and the road to Calakmul is west about 20 miles. The location is secluded and quiet, just south of the main highway 186. When driving east there’s a little sign pointing the way to turn right just before the last bus stop in Becán. After the right turn then a quick left and the cute, brightly painted bungalows will be on your right. We had dinner a couple of times in the closest town, Xpujil, about 5 miles east. We noticed hotels there, but the highway through town is really noisy with trucks, so we were glad we didn’t stay in town. Breakfast is included, but it’s minimal, just coffee, OJ, toast and bananas. East of Becán there are plenty of gas stations, but to the west there is nothing until Escarcega, so gas up there when headed east, or gas up in Xpujil when headed west. Otoch Béek doesn't take credit cards, so be prepared to pay in pesos or U.S. Dollars.

Reviewed By JohnDoufWe had a really nice time me and my girlfriend at Oscar's. They run a familly business with a Airbnb and restaurant pizzeria style that was delicious. A big + was Omar, Oscar's son, he speaks a lot better english than I can speak Spanish and he even knows a little bit of French! He is only 14 but runs the pizzeria like a "Boss" Very helpfull and kind to us "Foreigners". We thank you guys for helping us discovering the beauties of Xpujil and not just the Ruins. Reviewed By Jorge186Si los agarra la noche, surge un imprevisto, es adecuado para descansar y continuar al dia siguiente, tiene algunos detalles, pero en general esta bien con su frigobar, clima, cama confortable, tiene estacionamiento aunque algo limitado. Va bien si vas de paso.

Reviewed By luispanda19952012The hotel is very comfortable and beautiful, has nearby places to eat, and the reception staff is very friendly and helpful. It is an excellent place to rest and they provide you with kitchen utensils if you need them to cook.

Reviewed By a_scheinerThe hotel is literally a building site. Black mold everywhere, half fallen walls, tiny rooms without furniture and nice young people in the reception but absolutely unprofessional with no instruction what to do. Don't stay there if you can avoid!

Reviewed By Thierry LCabanes très simple: 1 lit avec une toile pour empêcher des "trucs" de tomber sur le lit, 1 chaise, 1 étagère et 1 table. Toit en feuille (mais traitée régulièrement donc - hélas - pas de bestioles !), salle de douche + WC sommaire mais avec eau chaude) Restaurant local accolé à "l'hôtel" bien....mais peu de places (arriver tôt) et fermeture surprise donc prévoir autre solution....ce qui dans le secteur est très très limité ! 92€ pour 2 nuits....vu l'hébergement c'est cher....mais indispensable d'être dans le secteur pour arriver à l'ouverture du site archéologique de Kalakmul.

Reviewed By Zzmartboy ZMuy buenos cuartos, limpios y amplios. Al igua el servicio e instalaciones de primera sin ningun contratiempo buenas ubicacion centrica de todo un poco para no alejarse, las camas comodas, y si hay internet funcionando en todo el hotel.
