Sumalee Boxing Gym

Our traditional Muay Thai gym has evolved into a wholistic centre which retains excellent Muay Thai training at its core. We've added Yoga (in our iconic open Thai style shala), massage (also in an open shala), excellent nutrition (The Ringside Restaurant) and a vegan café (Revitalize) as we've evolved. We've accrued an excellent reputation for our customer focussed service, training and support. Our location away from the hustle and bustle makes us an obvious choice for people wanting to focus on themselves and achieving their personal goals. We have a sound business ethic and are committed to giving back to the Muay Thai community through our Wor Watthana project which supports impoverished children from the poorest region of Thailand.

Second visit to Sumalee. Brilliant boot camp, massage and yoga on site and the Muay Thai coaches are amazing. We went for general fitness rather than boxing expertise and the coaches accommodate whatever level you are at. We will be back!

Yoga Republic

Reviewed By juliecreen - Toronto, Canada

I went to 5 classes at Yoga Republic while in town and had a great time with all of the instructors. They took their time to welcome me (despite only being there for holidays), made sure I was comfortable as a beginner among some yogis, and gave excellent advice to continue my practice. The single classes are a bit expensive (600 baht), but the holiday package is a good rate (2200 baht) so that can be worthwhile if you're doing for a few days in a row. The standard classes get quite hot due to the climate, so I didn't test out the hot yoga class, but I imagine it would be challenging if that is what you're looking for. Highly recommend checking it out.

I found this delightful yoga class through TA - thanks everyone! ( followed it with Dhara massage 5 mins away, also amazing from TA research!) I went to the Thursday class before a scuba trip and the Tuesday class afterwards. Both were wonderful, setting, teaching, quietly adapting to individual needs. Very professional. Many thanks!

We stayed at the Como Point Yamu nearby and took a taxi here (500 Baht). The place is clean and has foot massage chairs on the first floor. We were first welcomed in with a welcome drink which was butterfly pea water with chia seeds, and a cold towel. We did 1 hour foot massages downstairs followed by 2 hour Thai body massages upstairs. My masseuse was really good (I do massages a lot so am quite picky) and found the right spots. My friend's was good too. The place is clean and pleasant. Also had a farewell drink of lemongrass tea and crackers. Would come back again!

Smile Yoga

Nipa is an excellent teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed the two yoga sessions I attended during my week’s stay in the area. Nipa spoke in English and Thai throughout the classes and made corrections to our postures as required. The web site is really useful and I received such a warm welcome. The sessions were a bit more advanced than those I attend at home but as ever there were easier versions of the poses that Nipa explained.
