Reviewed By vishwanathyrThe views are breath-taking. The bridge to the lobby and what looked like a man-made river through the resort is one-of-a-kind. The ocean room assigned to us was on 1st floor in Building 2, which was at the same level as non-ocean view rooms, so that was a little disappointing. Everything else was top-class!

It is a home away from home for me now; it is a haven of tranquility, exceptional customer service, fantastic food, inspirational sunset, and, my personal favorite, unmatched-exceptional staff. I won't write a book on how great this place is, but if you are in the process of choosing hotels in Phuket, go for The Surin, don't think. It is exquisite. I just came back (June 2022) from a two-week stay, and I'll be honest, I did everything possible to delay or miss my flight, but unfortunately, destiny won, and I had to leave. But I will be back for sure, and not once. Highly recommend it for all age groups, celebrations, and people that want to bring tranquility back to their lives. Reviewed By wengtowardWe got married in this resort so it's always a special place to visit for us. 3 years had been since our last visit before this May. A lot of changes have been done. The resort itself looks more modern and there are more restaurant options available. It was nice to see some familiar faces like the staff Prince, and he's always that helpful and attentive. We especially liked our dining experience in Age, one of their new restaurants, and would totally recommend it to anyone whos visiting. We were a little disappointed with the Thai restaurant, where the tom yu soup was served pretty much like a sauce than a soup, as it was way too thick, which we had feedbacked and staff had done service recovery. Aside from that, breakfast is still top-notch in Anantara and you can't beat this to others. If you are looking for a spa treatment during your stay, we'd highly recommend their Himalaya spa treatment for your consideration. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The modern touch in the resort was great to see post-renovation, though the old Anantara was already nice in many facets and we hope the place can continue to keep up its standard in the delivery of luxury and tailor-made hospitality. We'll look forward to our return again in the future.

This resort, like most of us is entering the post Covid world... Good luck to them. Only issue is some parts of the resort are dated, that will take some time. Please take a ground floor room with pool access.

Nice time in a not so 4 star hotel
Reviewed By Safari353164We visited Phuket in May '22 and our stays started with a not se good room in this hotel. It was not the cleanest, also there was a bad smell and some things were leaking. After we had enough we met Mr Edward from the reception staff and he managed to turn things around. He was very kind and helpful and we could see on him he was really trying. We managed to upgrade to another room and that was completely different. It was clean, nice cent and spacious (was a bigger room though), and everything was working and in good condition (more like I would expect from a 4 star hotel). Other facilities were average though I have to admit that the food in the hotel was very nice and the staff was kind. If you visit this hotel note that there is difference between rooms. Some are refurbished and newer and cleaner and some are not in a good condition at all. If you don't feel good ask for Mr Edward he will help you at his best and you will feel the difference. Thanks a million Mr Edward, you managed to turn around a holiday which was almost lost.

Reviewed By deekshamalikJust checked out after staying 4 nights at their Banyan Pool Villa. Location: Located at a Secluded area of Laguna. Beach is not private and dirty. Location is far from happening areas so be prepared to spend money on taxis. Patongbeach cost one side 700 baht Grab. Room: They write something in description for booking and have something else. Room size was mentioned 170 sqm and when arrived it was very small villa, disappointment started. We asked the person who showed us the room, she said it is 140 sqm, there it was the reality. Checkin: They made us wait when already passed the check in time and made us eat some complimentary fruits to compensate. Check out: worst part of our experience. I had already paid and my taxi to airport arrived to take us to airport. The concierge person didn’t let us take our bag. Already paid and checked out, given the bag tag, showed the bill and still gave us an insulting experience and made us wait when we were getting late to catch our flight. Such a NOT so 5 star and that too the price they charged us for 4 nights experience. Breakfast: Good spread for locals or who can eat meat. Limited options for vegetarians and vegans. Swimming Pool: Good experience. Pros: Good staff except the check in and check out experience. Property is big. Complimentary bicycle, but they didn’t provide a lock. Someone stole my bicycle outside of my villa. I had waste my one evening for that ans getting another one. They should provide locks like some other 5 star does. Cons: Room sizes as they mentioned in the booking description. Check in and check out. Average food taste. Suggestion tip for hotel: Provide shuttle to town and Patong beach. You can charge some if you want. Provide lock for bicycle. Shall never return to this resort in Phuket.

Reviewed By dianaj326This resort was gorgeous. Had facilities for kids and adults loads of space and the room was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and accomodating. We took the bikes for a ride around and it’s literally on the beach. I didn’t take my kids on this trip but it also appeared to have a kids club and dedicated kids pool area. Food was lovely and served late.
