This place has been around since 1915. Original tiles (we think) on the floor and tabletops. They have an unusual menu for Rosario, including pate and hummus as appetizers. Fund place to go on a Sunday lunch, after walking around the Retiro.

I spotted this cafe on TripAdvisor and as it was near our hostel we decided to try it. We ended up going back a second time as it was so good. We tried both the Ensalada Calixto and a fillet of chicken with rice. Both dishes were so lovely and excellent value for lunch. The price (about 130 pesos) includes a drink and coffee or dessert.

We loved this place! A "tapas" place! Very tasty! Great variety of tapas, served hot or cold, delicious starters and desserts! we enjoyed our visit in the terrace! We drank a superb strawberry, citric and mint juice! That was super! I totally reccomemd this resto! You might want to book a table before getting there! It's a absolutelly comfortable place,the tables are the right size,you can eat without dropping your plates all over the floor and the meals taste delicious.The waiters are polite and helpful .The drawback is related to the amount of food in each dish.If you like eat as a lion,be prepared to try 2 or 3 plates.

Totally recommended gourmet food. It is a great place if you want to have a meal different. I am also celiac so they prepare ALL dishes GF. They made all food option GF. The service was also amazing.

Rave reviews and not being able to book a table may suggest something special but do not a great restaurant make.Not worth queuing for 30 minutes or so before it opened.Very limited [and seemingly unchanging] menu with very few eye-catching or mouthwatering dishes.I had ceviche of hake and sea-bream Basque style which were good but not great but probably the best options, given the very limited choice.
