While camping at Marten River provincial park, we took a drive to Temagami and climbed the fire tower in town. We'll worth the effort. A spectacular view of the area.

Our team (staff of a veterinary clinic) just did a weekend stay/team building at Von Doeler's Ranch and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Stewart Coughlin Riding Ranch

Our focus has been on family fun since 1960. We take great pride in accommodating everyone in the family by having something for all ages of people to enjoy in their horseback riding experience. There are pony rides for the very young and trail rides for others to experience. A trail guide on foot leads pony and rider on designated bush trails. Rides are 1/2 hour in length. Parents and or friends may accompany the walk. As children age and become more confident they can go on a regular trail ride and either control their own pony or have a lead rope from the guide's horse to the pony's halter. Trail Rides All horses are quiet and well - trained. Each ride is lead by an experienced trail guide. The ride includes basic instruction, walking and trotting throughout scenic groomed trails on the property. We also provide boarding for your equine family members.

Western Uplands Backpacking Trail

Reviewed By victorcyho - Toronto, Canada

Went for a 2 Night Trip out to Maggie Lake to relax. The Distance is close enough for newer hikers, and also close that you can carry extra gear and amenities to enjoy your nights here. When the weather is clear and cool, the walk in is very easy. Start with some frozen bottles of water when you get in, that way you have a cool drink during your first day. Snacks and lunch is a must. Wraps or bread are a good choice. During August, the water is still cool enough to swim, so bring some swim wear, beware of the leeches though, so stay moving when you are in the water!
